Fresh, quality produce treated brilliantly. The tomatoes were dressed with incredible olive oil and salt and were so moreish. The grilled mushrooms were another favourite, loved the huge variety of textures and flavours on the plate. Our waiter said that the monkfish and prawn pintxo was his favourite so we had to try that, and it was delightful. Honorary mentions to the spider crab tart, hen croquette, and strawberries with yogurt and peppercorns, which rounded up an excellent meal. We started queueing 30 minutes before the evening opening and got in the first seating.
Delicious food and friendly service. We started with the fresh tomato salad, the salty and sweetness are so well balanced, simply delicious! Wild mushroom with egg yolk, foie gras, jamon and the asperges are so smooth and flavorful. Our main dish was the amazing marble t-bone steak! Last but not least, the seasonal roasted peach for desert. It smelled good and was tasty too!
It is really worth the queue, but be there 30 to 45 minutes in advance so you can be in the first round.
We waited two hours in line to get in, it was definitely better food than any other place I had eaten in San Sebastián. But not sure about the two hour wait though. Staff was decent and our server was nice. It didn’t have a nice vibe once we sat down.
Amazing food - crab tartlet, Grilled King Prawns (€ by weight), Mushroom trio w yolk, Monkfish w prawn on skewer pincho, tuna sandwich pincho
Nice ambience, pretty fancy interior, would suggest to book if you want a sit-down dining experience and not queue. Bar experience was lacklustre vs your typical local tapas bar.
Steep prices.
Clean toilet! 💯
One of the best Pintxos bar we visited. Food quality, service levels and vibes were all on point. We ordered the famous mushroom dish.. it was divine. Crab tarts were very delicious as well. The King prawn and monk fish was also very delicious. We went there twice in 3 days. We highly recommend to sit at the bar.
