Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
An absolute sensational experience! My buddy and I visited the Moonshine Saloon two weeks ago and we are still buzzing from the experience. I had booked the Deputy Sheriff Package in addition to general admission, and man, it was worth every penny!
Why you should go:
Total Immersion: The moment you step inside, you are transported straight to the Wild West. The attention to detail is incredible—it genuinely felt like being in the opening sequence of Westworld.
The Actors: Huge shoutout to the cast! They were incredibly friendly, professional, and stayed perfectly in character. They did a fantastic job of carrying us through the story and involving everyone—including the other guests—with a lot of humor and wit. No one was left out; everyone had a role to play.
The Concept: The "bring your own liquor" (BYOB) concept is such a fun twist. The bartenders were super friendly and highly skilled, crafting excellent cocktails from the alcohol we smuggled in. We even got an extra shot (I won’t spoil the "why," but you’ll find out if you follow the story closely!).
The Vibe: I loved that they provide cards, dice, and "counterfeit" money at the tables. It allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in gambling and poker, just like in a real 19th-century establishment.
A special thank you: I want to say a huge thank you to the entire team—from the brilliant actors who brought the story to life, to the talented bartenders for the amazing drinks, and of course the organizers for putting together such a seamless and professional event.
Great vibe, great drinks, but a tiny missed opportunity made it almost unforgettable.
Lovely location and a really enjoyable experience overall. The service was good and the staff were attentive.
That said, having previously visited their sister bar Alcotraz, my friend and I came in with high expectations for the “smuggling” element of the experience. We hid our bottles in scarves, disguised them as our “pet snakes,” and had a full backstory ready to go… only for it to go completely unnoticed. A bit of a shame, as that immersive touch is what really makes the concept of the experience shine.
Still, we had a great time and would definitely recommend it, just maybe don’t overprepare your smuggling strategy like we did 😄
We had a lovely time at Moonshine Saloon! We booked through the FEVER app in advanced. The cocktails were 5 star ⭐️ and the acting/environment was interactive, fun and engaging.
Make sure you’re aware it’s BYOB, which must be sealed. They provide all the mixers and the bartenders personally go around inquiring about what you like, so don’t be fooled, they get very creative and create craft cocktails tailored to every person’s preferences!
They gave everyone western hats and shawls so we could all be in fun costume, which was great and they made sure to take time engaging with each group in character and take a little souvenir photo.☺️
The only thing I’d note is the drinks while SO delicious are definitely on the weaker side and you’re left to your own devices for the most part just to play cards and have your drinks. I thought the games would be more collective or group oriented. But all in all it was a lot of fun!
Nothing I write here will make this place and experience justice. I found this randomly while looking for fun things to do in London during my visit. I lived there for many years, so whenever I am back I try to do something different while I visit friends. I suggested this as it was a very original concept, so we gave it a go. I can truly say it is one of the best experiences I have had in years, if not my life! My friends felt the same way and I am sure we will keep talking about this in years to come. The actors were amazing and the location is brilliant, plus the Saloon is so cool inside! Great ambiance and decor. I was not expecting that customers would get roped into becoming part of the story, so I was really nervous when I was told upon arrival that I was the Mayor and I was running to be re-elected, so I needed to prepare a speech in about 20 minutes before having to deliver it in front of the whole Saloon, but I am so glad things worked out that way as it made things ever more meaningful to me and it was all part of the fun. I was so pleased to find out that there are other similar events on offer, so we will be booking for Alcotraz when I am back in London next time! Keep up the good work, guys, we loved it! And if anyone is considering doing this please go for it - You won't regret it!
We have previously attended Alcotraz which was a lot better than the Moonshine Saloon. We paid for 2 additional tickets, the brothel keeper and the mayor. The mayor played a big role in the experience. The brothel keeper only got to wear a different hat - not worth the additional fee in our opinion. The cocktails were very good. The actors inside were brilliant too, in particular, the sheriff who never broke character once and really had us feeling we were deep within a real saloon.
