One of my favorite hotels ever! We loved every minute here. The design, service, views, and attention to detail were incredible. Don't miss the dinner -- it was a highlight of our trip and our favorite meal in Lofoten. You get to watch them prepare the meal in front of you and everything is locally sourced. Try the homemade kombucha and teas as well -- Nina the herbalist rocks. Breakfast is 3 courses and probably the best hotel bfast I've had.
You have to email to book a room and dinner requires a reservation. This is a hidden gem in Lofoten!! Would recommend x1000
Had a wonderful dining experience here. The tasting menu was very unique and thoughtfully uses as many local and seasonally ingredients as possible. Everything was presented beautifully and delicious. The ambiance was rustic and cozy with windows overlooking the sea. Staff were very down to earth and friendly. One of best dining experiences we've had in Norway.
Recently stayed at Holmen and had a really great time here. It is a place where you can truly relax in beautiful surroundings, the room was thoughtfully designed with everything you need, comfortable bed and nice powerful shower. Breakfast is done in a slightly different way and provided in a number of courses rather than a buffet; a really interesting approach and allowed us to try a number of different options, which were all great and full of flavour. I appreciated the attention to detail for the breakfast service, food is presented really well and the service is relaxed and very friendly. Loved our time here, all staff are really friendly and happy to help with anything you need, we will return as soon as we can for another stay!
My mum and I stayed at Holmen Lofoten in July 2025, and we had the most wonderful time. There are lots of places to stay in Lofoten and I am so grateful that I picked this hotel. It is a beautiful spot, in a great location. The breakfasts were gorgeous, the staff were lovely, the tasting menu was a fantastic experience. We HIGHLY recommend the guided walk offered by Holmen, it made our trip.
The highlight of our trip! Amazing hotel, very quiet, perfectly located and with great views. We could enjoy the Northern Lights away from thw crowds outside and even from our room through the panoramic windows. Amazing breakfast à la carte in a beautiful wooden fishing cabin. Very authentic. The 7-course dinner was definitely worth it as well 😍 I can only recommend this place if you're looking for a quiet and authentic experience in the Lofoten
