We had an incredible breakfast at Hungry Mother and enjoyed the egg sandwich, bagel with pesto, Madagascar vanilla latte, fresh orange juice, the daily doughnut, and a lemon sugar cookie. Every item was outstanding and showcased the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into the food.
What made the experience even better was the staff. Every employee we encountered was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely welcoming. The restaurant itself was clean, comfortable, and inviting.
The quality-to-price ratio here is remarkable. The attention to sourcing, preparation, and flavor deserves recognition. Honestly, I don’t understand how Hungry Mother hasn’t earned Michelin Bib Gourmand status yet. It is absolutely a destination-worthy restaurant and a place we make a point to visit whenever we’re in Chattanooga.

For real, the smell of fresh bread as you walk in is all you can focus on! 😍 This place is beautiful, quaint, and has a chill vibe. The food and coffee are exceptional!
I ordered the Trout Bagel (fresh bread, so good! FYI: the trout is blended into the cream cheese spread). I also tried two lattes: the Salted Maple & Tahini and the Orange & Honey Cappuccino. If I had to choose(which is difficult), it would be the Orange & Honey Cappuccino—the subtle orange flavor,mixed with the espresso is delicious!

My husband and I are kind of obsessed with bagels and this is our favorite breakfast sandwich in town! It’s SO GOOD every time.
All of the seasonal options look great too but it’s hard to stray from the egg bagel sandwich!
Also, I think they have the best coffee AND matcha in town!!! The matcha is so smooth and the watermelon mint cold brew is delicious!
The staff is so kind too!! The person next to us ordered something and missed an ingredient they were allergic to listed on the menu (even though it was), totally their fault, and they were going to reorder but instead one of the guys that started HM got his sandwich remade for him quickly on a busy Saturday morning!

The everything bagel with vegan cream cheese was a delicious choice. Looking forward to coming back to try a bagel sandwich. Homemade donut was also a nice treat. The maple and tahini latte was sweet but a good flavor.

It's so good, we had a lovely time. They obviously make almost everything in house, and the coffees are delicious. We had the donut, chocolate chip cookie, trout bagel, egg bagel, orange honey cappuccino, and an iced coconut mocha.
The deserts were just perfect, and exactly what you would want from each. The bagels were just perfect, the flavors were amazing. The coffees were excellent though I would recommend hot coffee as the iced one tasted less coffee like, less strong but it was still also very good
