Really nice vibe inside, the food was delicious and the service was amazing. Will definitely go back! Edit: went back for round 2. I wish I could give them 5 more stars because it was THAT good. We ordered mostly sushi this time since last time we kinda got stuck in the appetizers (no regrets). The only thing we got the same as last time was the crispy calamari because it was just so good. 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up!

Let me start by saying that from the outside, Izakaya doesn't look like much—just a modest storefront that could easily blend into the street. But the second you walk through the door, the vibe completely shifts. The interior is sleek and inviting, with warm lighting, modern Japanese-inspired decor, and a cozy atmosphere that instantly makes you feel like you've stepped into something special. We kicked off the meal with a couple of standout appetizers: the crispy rice topped with tuna and the filet mignon. Both were executed perfectly—the crispy rice had that ideal crunchy texture with fresh, melt-in-your-mouth tuna, and the filet was tender and richly flavored without being overpowering. For the main event, we dove into the sushi rolls: the Disney roll (playful and packed with surprises), the Hawaiian roll (tropical and refreshing), the Tom roll (bold and inventive), and a classic spicy tuna roll. Everything was incredibly fresh, with vibrant flavors that balanced heat, sweetness, and umami just right. The fish tasted like it had come straight from the market that morning. We paired it all with a selection from their wine list, and the pairings were spot-on—crisp whites that cut through the richness beautifully. The staff deserve a shoutout too: friendly, and attentive without hovering. Overall, Izakaya is a fantastic new sushi spot that's punching way above its unassuming exterior. It's the kind of place that's perfect for a casual date night or a fun dinner with friends. I would definitely recommend it and can't wait to go back soon. Sushi rolls were great. We got bagel rolls, spicy tuna rolls and snow white rolls. They all were delicious. Pineapple fried was good as well and the right portion.

I loved the food here and the price wasn’t bad. Our waitress Vicky was lovely. I especially liked the crispy calimari it had such a good spice level to it. In total we got 5 rolls and calimari for $45 (including tip). Out of all the sushi places on this street I think this is one of the best, and I’ve lived here a long time!!!
