Visited for a special occasion after seeing all the hype on social media ✨ The staff and chefs were very friendly. The appetizers were just okay, but the sushi was definitely the highlight 🙌 The rice was perfectly prepared, and the subtle charcoal aroma during the meal made the whole experience even more enjoyable 👍 That said, I probably wouldn’t come back not because it wasn’t good, but because I’d rather try other restaurants at this price point. The only downside was a lingering fishy smell throughout the meal, which was a bit distracting 😓 Without that, the experience would have been much better 🙏
I had dinner at Joji twice before, and this was my third visit—this time for lunch. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment, and I probably won’t be coming back.
The quality seems to depend entirely on which chef you get. The first time, there was a foreign chef, and it was by far the best experience. Today’s chef was the worst.
Throughout the entire meal, the chef was loudly chatting nonstop with the family seated next to us. Honestly, that alone wouldn’t have bothered me too much. What really disappointed me was that he didn’t introduce a single dish to us. He would simply place the plate in front of us and walk away, while continuing his conversation with the other table. It felt like we barely existed. Is it really that hard to pause the conversation for just one minute while serving your guests?
To make matters worse, after we paid, no one even offered us a menu. Sigh… We ended up spending over $1,000 for lunch for two people, and the service simply didn’t match the price

each dish was beautifully presented. the fish was fresh and there were some interesting bites like deep sea rockfish and a mushroom sushi. also a great uni and caviar handroll.
also when you order hot tea you get free refills on your cup until the end of the meal which was nice.

We had a truly unique omakase experience here. The atmosphere feels authentically Japanese from the chef’s technique to the presentation and pacing of each course. Every bite was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully plated, and genuinely delicious.
The service was attentive and professional. However, it’s important to note that the price is extremely high. We paid $997 for two, before tip, which makes this one of the most expensive omakase experiences I’ve ever had. While the quality is excellent, the cost may not be justifiable for everyone.
If you’re looking for a luxurious, authentic Japanese omakase and don’t mind splurging, this place is worth trying at least once.

Joji was a pleasant surprise. The execution, service, and atmosphere were all 10/10. If anything, the 90s playlist was a bit distracting 😌—I would’ve enjoyed something more relaxing—but it didn’t take away from the experience. I’ll absolutely return.
