We were extremely disappointed with our experience at Louis. First, we were never informed that some menu items carried an additional surcharge. This should have been clearly explained by the staff before ordering, not discovered later. The biggest issue, however, was the service. A whole roast chicken was brought to our table, presented to us, and we were even invited to take photos of it. After we took the photos, the staff took the chicken away and served it to the table next to us. We could clearly see those guests eat the very same chicken while we continued waiting. About 30 minutes later, the staff came back and told us that our chicken was only just being prepared. By that point, we had already waited far too long and decided to leave. In the end, we paid HKD 2,100 for four Cokes, bread, a broccoli appetizer, and a meal that we never received. We left the restaurant hungry. That is simply unacceptable for a restaurant that claims to offer a premium dining experience. Good food and a beautiful interior cannot make up for such poor service, lack of communication, and complete disregard for the guest experience. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we have had in Hong Kong, and we would not return or recommend Louis. P.S. We have attached the photo we took.

Awesome! Had birthday dinner at Louise. The dishes are all very good. Nice cocktail and wine. 😋 And the staff are super nice, attentive and helpful too. 😋 Everything was perfect!!! I had dinner last night at La Terrace by Louise in Central, and I’m already looking forward to coming back. Every single dish was absolutely delicious. The portions were extremely generous, which was a pleasant surprise for this level of quality. The environment strikes the perfect balance between casual and fine dining. It’s relaxed enough to feel comfortable, but polished enough to feel special. Bonus: they have a live band on Wednesdays! They weren’t overly loud at all, the sound levels were just right, staying in the background as pleasant ambiance rather than taking over the conversation. Service was amazing throughout. A special shout-out to the assistant manager, Matthew Santiago, who was super attentive and made absolutely great wine pairings with our dishes. He truly went above and beyond to make our anniversary memorable. Highly recommend, whether for a date night, a catch-up with friends, or a mid-week treat with live music.

Having tried Odette in Singapore, I got to know Louise, the one-Michelin-starred French restaurant located in a historic Grade II listed building. It is a must to order the roasted Hong Kong Yellow Chicken served with Niigata rice en cocotte. The skin is very crispy and the texture is juicy. Besides the signature dish, another remarkable dish includes the angel hair pasta served cold with Kristal caviar and black truffle. It comes as no surprise that it has held a Michelin star for six consecutive years. A very well-deserved award!
