The fries here were very good! I like how they had many options of different sauces you could choose from and various sizes of how much fries you’d like. I wish the sauce was spread more evenly, but otherwise it was fresh, warm, and delicious. It wasn’t overly greasy, but the area is a bit dirty surrounding it. Would recommend if you want a quick stop for fries in Holland.
Manneken Pis was definitely one of the busiest food spots I visited in Amsterdam, with a constant line of customers. Despite the crowd, the service was fast and the wait was worth it.
The fries were thick-cut, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside, exactly how good Belgian-style fries should be. What impressed me most was the huge variety of sauces available. I tried the cheese sauce and the truffle mayonnaise, and both were delicious. The truffle mayo in particular paired perfectly with the fries and added a rich flavor without being overwhelming.
One thing visitors should know is that the portions are much larger than they seem. I ordered a small size and honestly felt it was more than enough for one person. If you’re not very hungry, even the smallest portion can be quite filling.
The location is convenient, right in the heart of Amsterdam, making it an easy stop while exploring the city. If you’re looking for crispy fries with plenty of sauce options, this place is definitely worth trying. No wonder it remains so popular with both tourists and locals.

Great spot for fresh, hot fries in Amsterdam! I only had to wait about 10 minutes in the queue and the service was quick and efficient. The fries were crispy, freshly made and really tasty.
They offer three portion sizes: Small (€5.65), Medium (€6.65) & Large (€8.95). Do note that sauces are not included in the price and come at an extra cost, but they have a wide variety 24 different sauces to choose from.
I also confirmed with the staff at the cash counter that they use vegetarian oil for frying, which was great to know.

After trying them, it feels like you’re paying more for the location and reputation than for something truly exceptional.
Portion sizes are decent, and there’s a wide selection of sauces, which adds some variety. However, the pricing is on the higher side for what you actually get. For a quick street food snack, it ends up feeling a bit overpriced, especially considering you can find similar or even better fries elsewhere in the city for less.
Service is fast and efficient given how busy it gets, but don’t expect anything beyond that—it’s very much a grab-and-go experience. The area around the stand is usually crowded, so it’s not the most आराम (comfortable) place to enjoy your food either.
Overall, Manneken Pis Damrak delivers good fries, but the value for money isn’t quite there. Worth trying once if you’re curious, but probably not something you’d go out of your way to revisit.
