An Exceptional New Year’s Dining Experience
We had a truly beautiful New Year’s dinner at Masso Restaurant, and it was an experience worth remembering.
We opted for the special New Year set menu, and every detail—from the ambiance to the last bite—was thoughtfully executed. The evening started elegantly with Oscietra caviar paired with champagne, setting a luxurious tone right from the beginning.
The starters were well-balanced and refined. The King Crab Salad was fresh and light with a subtle citrus note, while the Tortellini in Brodo stood out with its deep, comforting beef broth and perfectly cooked mushroom-filled pasta. The Endive Salad added a refreshing contrast with crisp green apples and a delicate hazelnut dressing.
For the mains, the Beef Wellington was exceptional—beautifully cooked wagyu tenderloin, rich mushroom filling, and flawless puff pastry. The Grilled Sea Bass was equally impressive, light yet flavorful, complemented perfectly by the confit garlic and lemon dressing. Even the Sfincione Pinsa was elevated, with caramelized onions and caciocavallo cheese adding depth and texture.
Dessert was a perfect ending. The Chocolate Tart with orange glaze was rich without being overwhelming, and the Pavlova was light, airy, and balanced beautifully with chantilly cream and marinated strawberries.
A special thank you to Jun, our waiter, whose hospitality, kindness, and professionalism truly elevated the evening. His attentiveness and warm approach made us feel genuinely welcomed and added a personal touch that made the celebration even more memorable.
Beyond the food, the service overall was excellent, and the atmosphere felt festive yet intimate—perfect for welcoming the New Year. Masso delivered a memorable dining experience with high-quality ingredients, excellent execution, and outstanding hospitality. Had a wonderful dining experience at Masso Restaurant in Bahrain. The Valentine’s specials were excellent — the Truffle Burrata and Yellowtail Crudo were fresh and flavorful, while the Linguine & Caviar and Grilled Lobster were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The heart-shaped chocolate mousse was a lovely finish.
The wine pairing was outstanding and thoughtfully matched to each dish, really elevating the overall meal. Great service, elegant atmosphere, and a memorable evening — highly recommended.

Masso had a really good AYCE Christmas Brunch that starts at 50 BD / 60 BD with AYCD cocktails/wine. Instead of buffet style, you get individual plates fresh from the kitchen that includes 6 starters/appetizers, 3 mains and 3 desserts + access to a carving station with roasted turkey and potatoes. If you enjoy any one specific item, you can ask for as many plates of that item as you want.
The "La Dolce Vita" Brunch every Friday works the same way, as the restaurant hosts a Mediterranean-themed brunch featuring Balearic beats, floral table styling, and a range of dishes from handmade linguine to a Wagyu rib-eye carving station.
Outside of Brunch and Special Menu offerings, highly praised items from the regular menu include the Smoked Short-Rib Croquettes with black truffle dip, the Bahraini burrata (sourced from a local herd in Zallaq), and the theatrical tableside Tiramisu.
Mass is one of my absolute favorite Italian restaurants in Bahrain. It always has a special place in my heart, and I visit it regularly. I love the atmosphere, especially the outdoor seating during winter, however the food is delicious and full of flavors, it's simply perfect. Highly recommend.
