Key Information
This McDonald's location is situated in a high-traffic, central area of London, likely near Trafalgar Square/Charing Cross (WC2N 5HY). It operates as a typical McDonald's, offering fast-food service with self-order machines and a focus on affordability and quick meals.
Customer Perception
Customer perception is mixed. Many praise the fast and efficient service, hot and fresh food, and helpful staff members (e.g., Joseph, who quickly resolved an order issue during a busy period). However, some customers report negative experiences, citing rude and disrespectful employees, ignored orders, and feeling humiliated, particularly when the restaurant is very busy.
Additional Details
As part of the global McDonald's chain, this restaurant offers a consistent menu. One customer noted the distinct taste of Coca-Cola at McDonald's due to precise calibration and the option to request unsalted fries for dietary reasons.
Given its central London location, this McDonald's is likely busy throughout the day, especially during peak meal times (lunch and dinner) and when local events or protests are occurring. Visiting during off-peak hours might offer a calmer experience, though the staff is noted for handling high volumes efficiently.
The experience we had at your store was absolutely unacceptable.
The blonde employee who was handing out the orders was extremely rude and disrespectful from the very beginning. Our order was showing as “ready” on the screen, and then suddenly disappeared. We politely tried to explain the situation, but she completely ignored us and kept aggressively telling us to stay behind the line and wait, without even listening for a second.
Meanwhile, our food was literally sitting there getting cold while nobody cared to help us.
To make things even worse, the security guard came over and told us to move away, as if we were causing trouble, when all we were trying to do was explain that our order had already been prepared and left there. We were treated with total disrespect and humiliation.
Honestly, the way we were treated felt degrading. Customers should never be ignored, dismissed, or spoken to in such an aggressive and careless manner. We felt more like animals being pushed away than paying customers.
This was one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had.

Fast, efficient service and food that arrived piping hot. Everything tasted fresh and was prepared exactly as expected. The staff were friendly, the order was accurate, and the whole visit felt smooth, quick, and pleasantly hassle‑free.

Why is McDonalds so popular?
The FRIES. All the way back from Selfridges to the Savoy you could see the McDonalds packed and in the windows you could see all ages snarfing down the fries with ketchup or without. One cute seen I saw a child look at his parent since he had the last fry and what did Dad do- he shared it and both had big smiles and Daddy gave a hug. By the way for seniors like me and you have to watch your salt NaCl intake. Just ask and they will fry you a fresh batch without salt. But see that’s what makes McDonalds McDonalds They are the epitome of customer service. Why else do they stick out-PRICING. Taking a family out for the day can be quite costly and we all want a meal out. Voila McDonalds has your back. To me personally I don’t understand the appeal of the McNugget but my grandchildren have eaten enough that I am surprised they haven’t laid eggs. I am still a Big Mac fan. The combination of patties, cheese, onions, lettuce and special sauce just can’t be beat. Also have you ever noticed Coca Cola tastes better there. It’s because they have worked the calibration of soda to syrup to a science. In America it’s one of the few places Coke tastes like it’s supposed to be. If it doesn’t, tell them and they will fix it. Why spend all that money for colored fizzy water.
People are everywhere filling the streets and sidewalks. McDonalds here is nice size with plenty of order machines.

Well, I'm not a junk food fan so ignore my ratings if this is all familiar to you, but the Big Mac burgers were so thin they were almost like a burger spread! It's a good size though and the staff are friendly.
