We really enjoyed our meal at The Quality Chop House. The food was excellent, and the sides were a perfect accompaniment to the mains. I had the pork chop, which was cooked well and full of flavour, although it was quite fatty. If you’re someone who enjoys a good amount of fat on your pork, you’ll absolutely love it.
My husband thoroughly enjoyed his steak, and every side dish we ordered complemented our meal beautifully. We were also treated to a complimentary side from the kitchen, which was a lovely surprise and much appreciated.
Our server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout the evening. To finish, we had the Bakewell tart, which was unexpectedly delicious. I don’t usually like Bakewell tart, but this one completely changed my mind. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience and would happily return.
Quality Chop House remains a London institution and consistently excellent. Having visited in 2023 and again this April, the experience is always top-tier.
• The Food: A must for meat lovers. The steaks are cooked to perfection and the crispy potatoes are essential.
• The Vibe: Great decor and atmosphere. It’s intimate, so booking in advance is usually required (I got lucky with a same-day cancellation).
• Good to Know: Steaks take 40–60 minutes to arrive, so it’s a relaxed meal. The wine and cocktail list is premium and on the pricier side, but worth it for the quality.
I have also been for the roast which is great, and would also recommend.
Perfect for a special occasion. Highly recommend!

The food was absolutely delicious across the board. The steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection, but the halibut was a real surprise star , the texture was incredible and the sauce it came with was so well balanced. Of course, I have to talk about the confit roast potatoes. They are honestly legendary for a reason! They look like tiny, golden lemon drizzle cakes, but they are probably the best alternative roasties I have ever put in my mouth. Crispy, salty, and just pure magic.
The sourdough bread was some of the best I have had in any restaurant, perfect crust and a lovely tang. And whatever you do, please make sure you save some room for dessert. The olive oil ice cream is a must-try; it is such a simple idea but the sweet and salty combination is so moorish you will want a second bowl.
On the service side, the staff were fantastic. They were warm, professional, and really made our night feel special. Nothing was too much trouble, which is exactly what you want when you are out with a group.
While the quality of the ingredients and the level of skill in the kitchen are clear, the prices are definitely on the higher side. Some of the plates felt a little bit light for the cost, It might be worth slightly bumping up the portion sizes on those plates to make the value for money feel as top-tier as the flavour. That being said, the quality really does deliver on the plate. It is a brilliant spot for a special occasion or a treat for any fellow foodie.
Highly recommended! It is a bit of a splurge, but for the history, the service, and those potatoes alone, it is 100% worth a visit.

Worth its salt and worth the cost. Do not miss an opportunity to visit The Quality Chop House.
Visited here as a couple for a birthday. Made a reservation several weeks in advance to make sure we could get in. We arrived to a birthday card at the table, signed by all the staff, which was so sweet!
The ambience was cozy and elevated, but not pretentious. We felt very comfortable.
Wine list and cocktails were broad and well-crafted. I had an Aussie skin contact that was divine.
Now, we ran the gamut on the menu.
Asparagus starter: served with stracciatella, wild garlic, and macadamia nuts. The kind of vegetable presentation that makes you think, I could survive eating only this asparagus for the rest of my life.
Pasta starter: a big knot of pappardelle, stuffed with ricotta, swimming in brodo bone broth, with peas floating in the mix. The bone broth was insane.
For the mains, two of us opted to split the 400g sirloin. The "to share" options on the menu were both 800g of beef, which would have been far too much for two of us. Choosing the 400g option also allowed us more room for starters and snacks.
The sirloin was divine by itself, cooked perfectly. No notes on this.
We also got two sauces - the bernaise, and the smoked bone marrow chimichurri.
The biggest surprise of the meal for me was the chimichurri. It was a religious experience for me. I was astounded at how good it was. This sauce alone sealed the deal for me that I must return to The Quality Chop House again some day.
Now, for the sides:
The green beans were perfect, served cold with mint and sunflower seeds.
The confit potatoes are the "viral" side - but I thought they were just fine. To me, all the other items we ordered actually overshadowed the potatoes, but I did enjoy dipping them into the bernaise.
Lastly, we were lucky enough to sample their house-made fudge. What a treat! So flavorful and creamy.
We spent over £90 per person - two glasses of wine, one cocktail, two starters, one main, two sides. We felt it was worth the cost. It was a special meal that we will remember, and we hope to return.
Long story short - if you get the chance, go here.

First of all the food was spectacular. Everything was moreish, the mussels in the butter sauce and the crispy bread soaked in it was a nice touch. There was a change from rump to sirloin on the day for our roasts and the flavours were there, the meat nice and pink. Confit potatoes amazing per usual.
We ordered a bottle of melon de bourgogne which was light and crisp.
What was a kind touch was a handwritten card with the signatures of the staff to commemorate the occasion.
The only downside was the service, which was curt and abrupt most times and marginally friendly at best. At one point a server left mid conversation when I was complimenting the food without an apology. And these details matter in an establishment like this. When service slowed it was difficult to find someone to ask for the bill.
