Southdowns Grille knocked it out of the park. Restaurant layout was well thought out and the decor was really nice. The Gumbo was well seasoned and had plenty of ingredients. Duck Meat Loaf was unique and equally delicious. Red Fish was on point, and the salad and Bread Pudding finished it off perfectly. Both I and my friends left completely satisfied with the experience, our server Corin was exceptional as well. Definitely one of the best restaurants on Perkins Road.

I visited one Saturday around 2pm. Inside is nicely decorated. I sat at one of the high tables in the bar area. I love the red comfy chairs. My server was a nice young lady. I went with the redfish with a side of Brussels. Large size fish. I’d give the redfish 8.5/10. The Brussels were good 9/10. I had a mocktail drink that was pretty tasty as well. I’d definitely recommend this spot and will return to try more items.

Great spot. Old Fashions are very good. Pork belly was good not exceptional (glaze needs more flavor). The pan grilled mahi mahi was OUTSTANDING. Brussels were mid (little dry), chopped salad was incredible

Dined here for the first time for dinner after hearing lots of great things from friends. Absolutely fabulous experience. Our server, Zoe, was so kind and great with recommendations!! Our drinks and food came around perfectly timed, and everything was delicious. We tried the frozen Arnold Palmer which was just as good as it sounds, and we had the artichoke stuffed mushrooms to start. The sauce the mushrooms are served on is so very good, 10/10. We also had the brussel sprouts, braised beef cheeks, and the chicken schnitzel. Just wow. Absolutely phenomenal food paired with fantastic service. Highly recommend and we will absolutely be returning!! Definitely request Zoe, or Sal if you’re seating at the bar. Thank you all for a fabulous dinner and service experience!!

My family and I were staying in Baton Rouge for the night near Solera, so we decided to give it a try. We had brussel sprouts, lamb, and savory cheese cake. The menu reminded us of our time in Spain. Every single dish exceeded our expectation. We appreciated the sauces. The service was exceptional. Our child was hangry, and the server must have picked up on it, so brought out our child's meal right away. The rest of the service was impressive, too. We will visit this place again.
