We hit up The Buffet at Wynn right after catching The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere, and apparently, everyone else in Las Vegas had the exact same bright idea.
First off: trying to make a reservation the day of is an absolute joke. Don't bother. We ended up waiting in the walk-up line for 45+ minutes just to get a seat. Once you finally get to a table, a host seats you and you pay right then and there. It’s definitely pricey, but "It's Vegas!" seems to be the universal pass for overcharging on everything here.
As for the food itself, it was pretty good across the board:
Seafood: They offer both warm and cold crab legs, plus cold lobster claws.
Meat & Carving Station: The prime rib was pretty middle-of-the-road, but they had a solid variety of other meats.
Sides & Salad Bar: Tons of fresh vegetables and a well-stocked salad bar if you want something green to balance out the plate.
Dessert: Huge selection here. The highlight was definitely the live dessert station where they make fresh s'mores right in front of you.
Service was completely standard—nothing special, but nothing bad either.
Everyone touts the Wynn as the undisputed #1 buffet in Las Vegas. While the food was tasty and the variety was great, I’m not sure it completely justified the price tag or the massive wait. It’s pretty good, but manage your expectations (and your schedule) before heading in.
The buffet offers a wide variety of international dishes that are delicious and satisfying; however, I feel the quality has declined compared to my previous visits. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has plenty of seating, though it feels quite crowded and the tables are packed too close together. The aisles are rather narrow, and—most importantly—the wait times are extremely long. If you plan to dine here, you should allow at least 30–45 minutes just for the queue, as priority is given to special-access lines. A word of warning: waiting here can easily make you "hangry."
We had reservations for party of 8 to celebrate Mom’s 89th Birthday. Plenty of quality tasty food options. The Baked Salmon, Seafood Paella & Crème Brûlée was her favorite of the night.
Service was fantastic. Plates were clear and beverages refill in a timely manner. Our server even had the pastry dept make a special birthday dessert plate for our mother. Overall a great experience for the family!
I went in expecting a lot but the main thing that seemed to hold was the desserts were great.
Taco station was amazing, definitely recommend that
Plenty of crab but I’m not a big eat only crab guy
Wagyu meat was unseasoned. Prime rib not bad. Mac was awesome.
I think it’s fun to do for 1 time but not a repeat. Also if I compare the cost to going to a fine diner like Morimoto you can feel you spent more for less quality still by doing the Wynn buffet
This buffet offers a great experience. This is the best buffet I have ever been to. It offers a huge variety of food so there is something for everyone. My only complaint is the wagyu. I am not convinced it is actually wagyu as it wasn't marbled and was chewy. They do have several different cook stations and even made to order crepes! The price can be a little steep for $60 brunch or $80 dinner, but this is still a must try. The service was also amazing as my drink was always filled .
