We absolutely loved our experience at Chef Kenny’s! The food was packed with flavor and so reasonably priced! We are vegan’s visiting from NYC and this is some of the best food we have had in Vegas. Definitely try the Orange Chicken, Mushroom Dumplings, Dragon Roll, and Jack Fruit Hand Roll. The staff was extremely friendly as well! A great experience!
Loved it! We ordered several dishes to all share and everything was good. I loved the orange chicken, while ny husband loved the beef and broccoli. Served with some good tea. I don't live in Las Vegas, but if I did, I would eat here regularly. Great vegan food!
My husband and I are vegetarians and have been meaning to try Chef Kenny’s for awhile now. First impressions, cleaner and more organized than your traditional Chinese restaurant but PRICEY for vegetarian food.
Sometimes I think vegan places “get it wrong” by trying too hard to emulate meat dishes and not focusing on what vegans love—-VEGETABLES. While I do appreciate the effort to copy popular meat entrees and dim sum dishes, they tend to fall short because I’ve eaten the meat versions in the past and they’ll never taste the same.
The orange chicken is what was raved about so I had to try it. It was at best 5/10, catering to a western palate for sure. The best orange chicken is still at Purple Mint Vegan in San Diego! It’s lightly battered and uses fresh orange sauce not this artificial looking and tasting one.
We probably will come back for a simple lunch or dinner next time we’re in town. We love being able to order “anything off the menu” as vegetarians. But as a Chinese vegetarian, I’ve had better and more reasonably priced.
We had guests who requested a no meat meal in observance of Ash Wednesday so we thought that it was the perfect time to try this vegan restaurant.
The place seems small from the outside but it is actually big inside. It is nicely decorated and actually gives me a Buddhist temple vibes which is also very appropriate for it's food offerings.
Since it was our first time there, we ordered their most popular dishes. We had the crispy beef, fried chicken, walnut shrimps, crispy eggplant and egg custard. Mind you, everything here is vegan so no animal products at all. We were really curious as to how the food will taste but we were quite impressed especially with the shrimps. If I didn't know that this was a vegan restaurant, I would have thought that I was eating real shrimps. The taste and texture was on point. Everything was good. The fried chicken which was actually made with mushrooms was formed into chicken legs and they were crispy and good. The crispy beef was very good as well and the egg custard was crave worthy with light and flaky crust.
Definitely a restaurant worth trying if you have not tried a vegan restaurant yet. It doesn't matter if you are vegan or not as long as you like good food.
We even had the pleasure to meet the owner Chef Kenny on our way out.
LOVE this place. Everything about it. We are here twice during this trip and we’re always happy to return.
The food is exceptional. The service is great. The staff seem to care about each persons experience and it’s very well managed. To top it off, Chef Kenny has been present, active, and engaged with customers and staff alike the past 3 visits for us. He seems so passionate as a chef, business owner, and vegan activist.
This is a place you want to visit!
