Our experience was very positive - i have nothing but good things to say!
The menu was fantastic at the price it was offered at so i jumped at the chance the host our corporate New Years celebration at the Refinery.
Olivia, who was my event coordinator, was supportive from the start. She offered a very fair price for the space to cater to our budget and ensured all questions were answered. She also went out of her way to ensure each guest was accommodated to based on their food preferences/ allergies . My communication with her was simple, straight-forward and easy. She was also very patient whilst I awaited approval at each stage.
Also thankful for Pollie who helped when i couldn't order the BRB menu from the pre-order link. She was very friendly and helpful!
When we arrived i was greeted by Olivia very warmly and everyone really enjoyed the night. Loads of drinks and food flowing. Sunni was a dream and hosted us very well. He ensure we were catered to the whole night and even bought our complimentary sides during the night.
So thankful for the experience here - will certainly be back!
Fantastic experience here. Ran an private event last weekend for 180 guests. The Refinery team communicated extremely speedy throughout the preparations resulting in no stress for me, we booked a DJ, a cloakroom and someone to badge in the guests, they were excellent on the night itself adhering to the agreed timings and did exactly as they said they would do. Highly recommend.
We had an absolutely wonderful Christmas dinner at The Refinery New Street Square, hosted for our team of 79 people, and the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. The restaurant looked beautiful with its festive décor, the food and drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a large team celebration. The staff were incredibly friendly, supportive, and well-organised, which made the evening run smoothly. A special thank you to Olivia Greenwood for managing everything so brilliantly and making us feel so welcome. The karaoke in the restaurant was the highlight of the night and brought so much fun and laughter to everyone. Thank you, Olivia and the whole team — we all had an amazing time and left very happy!
We hosted our company Christmas party at The Refinery New Street Square on 5th December 2025, and it was absolutely fantastic! The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent, everything exceeded our expectations.
A special shout-out to Olivia, the Event Manager, who made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. I find organising a party for 100+ people incredibly stressful, but Olivia and the whole team handled everything brilliantly. From planning to execution, their professionalism and attention to detail were outstanding.
Thank you to everyone at The Refinery for making our celebration so enjoyable. Highly recommend for corporate events or any occasion!
I sat down outside for lunch yesterday and my friend noticed an oily black spot on my arm. Turned out that I was being dripped from the louvres above the outdoor tables. I moved seat to the other side of the table, but told the staff that this had happened, showing them the stains on my trousers and t-shirt, and though there was a cursory apology, I was left a little speechless at the lack of any recognition of the damage done to my clothing.
