We had the most incredible experience thanks to Shetu! From the moment we sat down, he made us feel truly special. We were celebrating our first anniversary, and he went above and beyond to make the night unforgettable.
His attention to detail, warm personality, and genuine care for our experience did not go unnoticed. Every recommendation he made was perfect, and he checked in just the right amount to make sure everything was flawless without ever being intrusive.
Shetu turned a simple dinner into a meaningful, memorable celebration for us. If you have the chance to be served by him, consider yourself lucky — he is truly exceptional at what he does. We can’t wait to come back!
Our visit to Trader Vic’s was fantastic! Obviously the tiki drinks were on point. Well balanced and delicious. But the people really made this a memorable birthday dinner. Our server Angie was wonderful and made awesome recommendations. She knew the drink menu really well and was able to help me pick exactly the sort of drinks I like. Our host Jada and host (in training) Kendall were so sweet. They gave us a full tour of the restaurant and explained all the really unique things they do there. I didn’t know they had the World Cup games playing on the patio, so we’ll definitely be back for that later this week. They stopped us to chat on our way out and ask how we liked recommendations they had made. They were just super sweet. It can be a very tricky thing to make a big restaurant feel welcoming, and Jada, Kendall and Angie did a great job. Even the manager came over to our table for a bit to chat. She’s definitely doing a great job making the restaurant feel inviting and like dining there is a special occasion.
Food is so good and flavorful. If you like good food with tropical themes this is your place. Went for a friend's birthday party and they were able to accommodate us all. Service was excellent. Drinks were great. Food was fresh. Had crab rangoon, lamb chops and dessert and all items did not disappoint. The lamb chops were some of the best I've ever had. Located inside Hilton Hotel. Parking was not easy but worth looking for an amazing meal.
Anyone saying they didn’t have the best experience here is wrong. The atmosphere is perfectly kitschy and thematic. You can tell it carries the 50 years of history from its prime and still shows up for those that want to experience this time capsule. You can even take a guided tour to learn about trader Vic’s history and authentic decor while you’re there!
The food was hot, fresh, and plentiful. The servings are large and have a perfect salty/sweet/umami flavor profile. For a relic of a previous time found in the basement of a hotel, you can’t get much better than this.
And our service was 10/10. The hostess was welcoming and excited to tell us about the history of Trader Vic’s and our server, Shetu, was kind, professional, and went out of his way to make sure our little date night was a blast. Fresh flowers were brought for my hair, leis were provided during the presentation of dessert (which was on the house and a great surprise!) and the drinks were everything you want in a tiki drink: strong, flavorful, and more choices than you could ever imagine a tiki bar would have available.
10/10 will be back for a fun, silly, immersive date night experience.
We had a wonderful experience and delicious food here! Our hostess Tempest sweetly seated us with Samantha as our server. My friend and I both have some food allergies, and she was happy to make note of them and ask the chef if he could accommodate them. They had a seafood special with risotto tonight and we decided to split it. She told Chef Julio about my allergies. There was one part of the entree that could be risky with my allergy, so he came up with a plan to change how he cooked the dish so that I didn't have to worry about my allergy at all. The seafood and risotto were so delicious! He brought the food out to our table and introduced himself. It was absolutely lovely. Samantha was an absolute delight as a server, we had enjoyed talking to her. I really appreciate the care they showed to take care of us tonight. 10/10 not just 5/5. Can't wait to come back and dine with them again. You have to come to Trader Vic's!
