I like this place a LOT. I found it in the Washingtonian Best Bargain restaurants and I'm glad I did. I had the two hot dogs as well as the chicken wings. Outstanding. I've also heard good things about their pizza and the Garbage Plate. Beautiful decor and friendly service.

Never thought I’d be able to get a garbage plate in DC, let alone a very good one! Might not have been served in a styrofoam container but everything else from the meat hot to the zweigle’s dog to the Mac salad was delicious and true to tradition. :) The wings were also great — crispy and saucy — with chunky, homemade bleu cheese. Can’t think of any Buffalo wings I’ve had better in DC. Really friendly bartender as well! Can’t wait to come back.

I’m from Buffalo, and one of my hobbies is reviewing wing places, given that I have grown up with them. Upstate has solid wings. Cooked perfectly, good sauce, and absolutely reminds me of home. I do wish that Upstate would offer an option to have all flats or all drums (even if at a premium), but regardless, this is a good wing. Finding a good wing is hard in DC, so if you are searching, I would recommend this place.

Tiara the bartender was awful extremely aggressive she provided horrible service she shouldn’t be in hospitality . She tried to berate a woman beside me and the lady was not even talking to her ! She needs more training. It’s not even busy in here we’re really confused on the poor service.

Split a 20-piece wing platter with a friend. Nice texture, good amount of sauce. Restaurant atmosphere was nice, not overly aggressive or loud. We went on a Saturday early evening.
