Our first time here and we enjoyed it. They have a large menu (see pictures) and some great daily specials. My wife had the Chili Rellenos and said it was delicious, I had the Enchiladas Combination Plate (2 Enchiladas with rice and beans) and enjoyed it. The Monday and Wednesday special is 99¢ Chicken tacos so we got some of those too. The other daily specials are on the pictures I took of the menu. They are open 25/7, so anytime is good. We will definitely be going back.
This place is actually really good. Compared to Roberto's or don tortaco, this place I'd definitely come back to. Their 99 cent tacos on Monday and Wednesday are big hard shell tacos with shredded chicken inside, they're very tasty. They actually season their food and it's reasonably priced.

You can taste the freshness and flavor. The machaca breakfast burrito was lit. So yummy!!! Clean place and friendly staff!

Honestly this place has PROBLEMS. They act like giving you salsa is going to make them bankrupt, they skimp you tremendously on the items that contain meat, they’ve even charged me $1.50 extra for every item that has meat because they complain about their own meat shortage and still skimp me. I’ve paid an extra $4.00 for EXTRA meat and still didn’t get extra. The carne asada nacho chips are stale. The guac is forever black 🤮 The service stinks, always slow takes forever to get your order.
Read the other reviews regarding small portions and astronomical prices- trust me, I’m not the only one. During inflation, this taco shops made us ALL pay for it when no other taco shops did. I’d stay away at all cost. They’re greedy as hell. Plenty of Mexican taco shops that give you what you pay for, this place doesn’t.

The food is amazing but tonight there was a homeless guy outside asking for money which I get can be annoying and make the business look bad but he's still a person in need and in my experience if you offer to buy a homeless person food and they take it instead of just wanting money they deserve the help. The guy did accept my offer to buy him food but unfortunately he didn't know the name of the item he wanted so I tried to bring him in so I could order him something and the guy working refused to let me order for him. The homeless man politely apologized and left. I dont see any reason why he should've been refused service when he was so polite. He was clearly mentally ill and whether drugs were a factor or not nobody knows his past or why his life is the way it is but he still deserved to be helped. I will not be returning to this location again and if that's the way owners and management train workers to treat someone in need please respond so I can never give viva el taco my business again. I hope the man working has to live at least one day in that poor homeless man's shoes.
