Yassou Tel Aviv Greek Restaurant offers a unique Greek atmosphere with a prime location across from Tel Aviv's beach, providing Mediterranean sea views and a refreshing breeze from its balcony. It's known for its lively and happy ambiance, though some find it loud and crowded.
Customer Perception
Customer perception is mixed. Many praise the authentic Greek food, excellent service, and fantastic atmosphere, especially the balcony with sea views. However, some find the restaurant grossly overpriced with small portions. There are also comments about the noise level being high and bathrooms needing better cleanliness. A notable point is the limited vegan main course options.
The restaurant is located in Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel, offering a taste of Greek cuisine by the Mediterranean Sea. It is generally perceived as being on the pricier side.
Reviews mention visits for lunch, and the lively atmosphere suggests it's also popular for dinner, especially for those who enjoy a vibrant and energetic setting.

Amazing Greek restaurant. Staff are so friendly. For dessert I would extremely recommend the chocolate cake.
P.S. if you’re coming with kids, just make sure to come before 9:00, because then they might not let you in.
Save yourself! The most grossly overpriced, average Greek food I have had in my life. Such a shame that the best Greek restaurant in Tel Aviv closed down recently. This place is not a patch on it. You’ll see from the photo how stingy they are with the portions. That tiny plate cost 78 shekels that is akin To US$28 or £21. Outrageous.
Good food. Great service. Fantastic ambiance. Bathrooms could be cleaner.
I came here is part of the group. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
They have a balcony facing the Mediterranean Sea and that makes all the difference.
The food was pretty good. Not great. But done with a caring hand. The bread was magnificent. The dolmeh was alright. And the baked cauliflower was better than average.
Unfortunately the weren’t any main course vegan options. This was disappointing, since I really like Greek food.
The service was very friendly.
Inside the restaurant was pretty clean and tidy, but the bathrooms could have been cleaner. I like them sparkling.
All in all a very nice experience.
I visited Yassou for lunch with my mom, and we both had an amazing time! The food was so delicious and really reminded my of authentic Greek cuisine which I love so much, the drinks were awesome and atmosphere was happy (though I can imagine a bit loud for some). Overall we loved it and plan to return soon.
Tavern?
not exactly
Apparently the place is more for young people who like deafening noise and terrible crowding.
We got a table for a family of 8, the table is located on a step, with bar stools that are difficult to reach the table with. A chair on each side, located on a step with legs at different heights and fixed to the floor🤪.
We were moved to another table, crowded, but tolerable.
The service was excellent and very charming!
Excellent food, zucchini ball soufflés, excellent.
Excellent gyros, faba beans, Greek salad and kolorbi salad are excellent.
