There's a reason why this smokehouse is nationally renown, it's a quality product with years of experience and love smoked in!! Special recipe stand outs are inch- thick Pork steaks, the Brisket grilled cheese, brussel Sprouts w/ pork belly, and the smoked Turkey. They have mastered the basics (ribs, smoked brisket, pulled pork, snoot, wings) and have taken that knowledge to elevate the menu. BBQ snobs will NOT be disappointed, but impressed.
Now I understand why the owner, David Sandusky, has been on Food Network so many times!! Amazing job!!
Searched best food places in STL region to pick one for my birthday dinner. About 45 min drive from me and based on the reviews and videos I could find I was like "seems worth the drive.". THIS IS LEGITIMATELY THE BEST BBQ I HAVE EVER HAD. Porksteak was 🔥🔥🔥. Had fries, mac and cheese, and baked beans. All amazing. They also serve Excel soda. Definitely be my top BBQ recommendation going forward.

We stopped in for dinner on July 3rd and unfortunately by the time we arrived, the pulled pork was gone and I was really looking forward to the pulled pork sandwich. So I pivoted to the turkey melt which was an excellent 2nd choice. I had it with Mac & cheese which was so creamy. My husband ordered the pork steak deluxe sandwich with candied bacon. He's a pork steak connoisseur and he rated it an 8/10. The sweet tea was perfectly made and I saw to-go order with it in gallons further proving that point.
This restaurant was added to my list when I read an article about it probably years ago, so I was glad we were able to stop in while in town.

I’ve always enjoyed the food at Beast BBQ, but their new takeout sauce policy is extremely disappointing.
Customers are now limited to one sauce cup per item ordered, with only one additional sauce available if requested. For a BBQ restaurant, this feels unfair to paying customers. One or two small sauce cups often isn’t enough to properly enjoy a sandwich or meat plate, especially when BBQ sauce is a major part of the meal.
I can understand charging for extra sauce in certain situations. For example, if someone orders wings that are already coated in sauce and wants additional sauce on the side, or if they’re requesting multiple extra cups of ranch. In those cases, extra charges make sense. However, limiting sauce for traditional BBQ takeout orders seems unreasonable.
What makes it even more frustrating is that this restriction doesn’t appear to apply when dining in. If the sauce is available without limitation in the restaurant, it’s hard to understand why takeout customers are treated differently.
The food is still good, but policies like this leave customers feeling nickel-and-dimed over something that should be a basic part of a BBQ meal.
(P.s the sauce cups were not fully filled)
Update: all of our food was cold
This is how much slaw came on my sandwich

First visit to BEAST Craft for lunch. Not much on atmosphere but the food was excellent. We enjoyed the pulled pork and brisket meals. Great mac and cheese, cole slaw and baked beans as sides. Busy place today! Highly recommend!
