This place came highly recommended and we see why. Downtown Ventonville locstion made this a walkable option.
Without a reservation, we were able to sit at the bar which turned out great!
Mason is an excellent bartender! He was SO personable and made our meal even more memorable! The food was delish.
Lovely location and fantastic, fresh food. Perfect for the picky foodie.
Chef Cooper delivered an incredible dining experience at The Conifer. The service was outstanding, and every dish impressed, from the chicken spatzel with mac & cheese to the strawberries with ricotta, cheddar biscuits with whipped butter, and the unforgettable brown butter ice cream with pecans and caramel.
Chef Cooper even came to our table to share his vision, which made the night feel personal and special. Hands down some of the best gluten-free food we’ve ever had, you’d never know it was gluten-free.
Absolutely worth the visit. We’ll be back.

If you’re living with Celiac disease, you know the familiar "menu anxiety", the cross-contamination questions, the limited substitutions, and the constant vigilance. Finding a spot where the entire menu is safe is a relief, but finding a spot like Conifer, where the food is actually world-class, is a revelation!
Conifer is a 100% gluten-free kitchen, but here’s the kicker: if nobody told you, you would never know the difference.
The Highlights:
The Arancini Balls: We caught these on the feature menu, and they were a total knockout. Perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with flavor.
Cheddar Biscuits: Forget the crumbly, dry textures often associated with GF baking. These were fluffy, savory, and exactly what a biscuit should be.
The Mains: The Market Steak was cooked to perfection and showcased incredibly fresh ingredients. The Chicken Schnitzel had that satisfying, golden crunch that is so hard to replicate without wheat flour.
The Gnocchi: This was perhaps the most impressive feat, light, pillowy, and delicious. It’s rare to find GF pasta with this kind of authentic integrity.
The Experience: The food is only half the story. The customer service was truly over the top; the staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the inclusive environment they’ve created. Every plate felt intentional, fresh, and vibrant.
The Verdict: Whether you have dietary restrictions or not, Conifer is a must-visit. It’s not just "good for being gluten-free", it’s just plain amazing. A delightful, stress-free experience from start to finish.
I’ll be dreaming about those biscuits until my next visit!

This restaurant was hands down, one of the top places I have ever eaten. The food, experience and our server were fantastic! I cannot eat gluten and was filled with joy to try so many options here. The flavors were absolutely amazing and creativity was an A+. My husband and I dined here for our one year anniversary and did not leave disappointed. We will be back!!

Conifer is a beautiful local farm to table restaurant serving gluten free food ( safe for persons with Celiac disease). The cheddar biscuits with whipped butter, scallions and coarse salt were amazing. The entrees were delicious, fresh, and creative. I had the lamb meatballs with creamy polenta. My better half had the chicken with dumplings. We ended our meal with a crème fraîche ice cream with macerated sour cherries which was perfect. We enjoyed a lovely dinner.
