Additional Details
Dante Mayfair originated as a highly successful residency at Claridge's Hotel before establishing its permanent London home. It is a transatlantic venture, bringing the spirit of downtown Greenwich Village to London. The space underwent a brief transformation before its official reopening as Dante Mayfair in June, following the final service of Claridge's Restaurant on May 10th (as per an Instagram post, likely referring to a past event despite the future date in the snippet).
The restaurant is suitable for various meal times, including relaxed lunches, fantastic afternoons, and long, relaxing dining experiences that can extend into 'negroni-soaked dinners'. It appears to be an all-day dining destination.
Dante Mayfair
What an amazing way to celebrate our 34th Wedding Anniversary with a fantastic afternoon at Dante Mayfair.
Dante has been here at Claridges Hotel for months as a pop up and has been so successful that it is now a permanent fixture. We always love visiting Claridges having stayed here many times so it seemed the ideal setting to celebrate our anniversary. All I can say now is that we were both delighted that we did.
We entered the hotel and made our way to the restaurant where we were given a fabulous friendly welcome before being escorted to our table. Here we were greeted by manager Elizabeth who it was great to see again and she described the changes to the restaurant and how the ethos of Dante works.
We started with a fabulous cocktail where my wife enjoyed the Dante Hugo Spritz while I had one of the best cocktails ever in the form of a Pina Colada Spritz.
We enjoyed these while looking at the menu. The menu starts with a selection of dishes to share followed by Starters and Salads , Pasta , From the Fire . Mains , Sides and a separate Dessert menu.
We started with the Mare Misto followed by the Sugar Snap Pea and Halloumi Salad along with the Prosciutto with Mozzarella. We then shared the Fazzoletti pasta before our main courses of BBQ Mackerel and the Halibut on the Bone.
To finish we enjoyed these amazing desserts which started with a surprise as we were complimentary presented with the Zabaglione along with a cocktail with our picture from our holiday in Greece on the top. This then led to my wife enjoying an amazing Carrot Cake while I had the incredible Sticky Toffee Donut.
We finished with a tea to round of a truly fantastic afternoon.
It was amazing to see Elizabeth again and along with her team made an anniversary feel very special. I would highly recommend a visit to Dante because the food is amazing , the cocktails are delicious , the staff are super friendly and there is a great atmosphere.
The menu a such an extensive choice that it is absolutely ideal for just popping in or enjoying a nice long relaxing dining experience.
Thank You Dante and look forward to seeing you all again soon.
The arrival of Dante Mayfair feels less like another restaurant opening and more like a transatlantic event. Bringing the spirit of its legendary New York sibling to London was always going to invite comparisons, yet this newest outpost has the confidence to carve out an identity entirely its own. There could hardly be a more fitting address than Claridge's, the grande dame of Mayfair, where timeless glamour has long been the house style.
From the moment you step inside, the room strikes the perfect balance between old-world elegance and downtown Manhattan sophistication.
There is an effortless energy here lively without ever feeling frenetic, polished without the slightest hint of pretension. Every detail has been considered, from the impeccable service to the beautifully executed interiors, creating the kind of atmosphere that encourages you to linger long after the last course.
The menu celebrates Dante's New York heritage while embracing its London setting with confidence. Classic Italian influences meet contemporary flair, delivering dishes that are both comforting and refined. Cocktails, unsurprisingly, are exceptional. The bar programme lives up to the reputation that made Dante a global institution, producing drinks that are impeccably balanced, beautifully presented and worthy of every accolade.
What elevates the experience beyond excellent food and drink is the unmistakable sense of occasion. There is an effortless glamour that only Claridge's can provide, yet Dante brings a vibrant, cosmopolitan edge that feels refreshingly modern. It is a meeting of two icons, one of New York hospitality, the other of London's luxury hotel scene and the partnership feels remarkably natural.
Dante Mayfair is more than a successful import; it is already one of London's most compelling dining destinations. Sophisticated, stylish and full of personality, it captures the magic that made the original a legend while writing an exciting new chapter in Mayfair. Quite simply, it's utterly wonderful.

Dante + Claridges - What a combo! We enjoyed a lovely lunch in their newly refurbed lime green restaurant evocative of amalfi coast on Mayfair. I highly recommend the Cournichon martini followed by Green Apple Gibson both smooth and deep in flavour, on the food - the burrata and tuna tartar, and Dover sole with corn side (creamy and limey)! Dessert was standout though - chocolate semifredo was stunning with espresso. I will definitely go back soon to experience rest of the martini menu.

What an incredible experience. The service is impeccable, the food fun, interesting and tasty and there's a pleasantly relaxed atmosphere but yet we still felt that we were somewhere very special. Cocktails are top notch too. We'll be back.
