Delicious hainanese chicken. Ginger scallion oil was savory. Braised pork belly was also savory and not too sweet. You can taste the Chinese five spice seasoning.
Very important: Notice they have changed their location to 3829 Southeast Division Street, just behind Tom's. Make sure that you don't park at Tom's parking spot; they will tow you and put nasty stickers on your car.lol
The good thing about Hawker station: What they have not changed is the love that they put into their dishes and you can taste it in every bite.
I went over to get their Hamburger Week special from last year that they had on for just three days on their menu again.
It is a delicious burger, Angus beef with crispy fried onion rings and a Hong Kong-style pepper sauce. Just every bite so delicious that it doesn't even need any cheese!
Go and say hello to your new neighbors and or just drive from the other end of town to show them some love. Moving is always such a headache we all know that but for a food cart it literally about surviving so let’s make sure hawkers station does that.
Really great spot for Hainan chicken in Portland. The chicken is tender and flavorful, rice is well seasoned and portions are solid. Simple menu done really well. Quick service and friendly staff. The owner is amazing and so funny, really makes the experience even better. Definitely a go to for comfort food.
I’ve been here a bunch and love everything I have ate here. I’m happy that the cart has found a home off division and 38th. My favorite dish is the hainan chicken with rice; the chicken is so juicy and tender and the rice is so flavorful. I could live off that rice! I am also a fan of their other food tho too. Like the orange chicken, it’s like Panda Express but better! The batter is light and airy but still crispy. It’s delicious! You really can’t go wrong ordering anything here.
As a Singaporean that immigrated here 5 years ago I wish I could give more than 5 stars !
Highly recommend the chicken rice and the braised pork belly.
