La Fignette is a charming neighborhood bistro in Strasbourg, known for its revisited Alsatian cuisine and warm, inviting atmosphere. A key feature is their delicious tarte flambée (flammkuchen) cooked over a traditional wood fire. The restaurant offers a cozy ambiance with stone walls and low ceilings, complemented by a spacious terrace, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors.
Customer Perception
Customers highly praise La Fignette for its friendly and attentive staff, excellent service, and welcoming atmosphere, making it a great choice for families. The traditional Alsatian food, particularly the tarte flambée, spaetzle munster, and waedele au munster, receives strong positive feedback for its quality and flavor, often noted as good value for money. While some found the taste not entirely to their personal preference, the overall experience is highly recommended. Some reviews mentioned minor organizational issues with service during peak times, but this did not significantly detract from the positive experience.
La Fignette prides itself on offering authentic Alsatian cuisine, which is influenced by both French and German culinary traditions. Their signature tarte flambée is cooked in an old-fashioned wood oven, contributing to its unique flavor. They also offer a thoughtful kids' menu with smaller portions of regular dishes.
The restaurant is open 7 days a week from 11:30 AM to 11:00 PM. It can get very busy, especially for dinner and if you prefer outdoor seating, so making reservations in advance is highly recommended.

A great choice for families!
We found this restaurant through online reviews, and it was definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere is lovely, with lots of greenery that makes the place feel relaxing and inviting.
We arrived at around 5 PM and only had to wait a short time for a table. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our meal.
The food was well-prepared and flavorful, although the taste wasn’t quite what we personally prefer. One thing we really appreciated was the kids’ menu. Instead of typical children’s meals, they offer smaller portions of their regular dishes, which is a great idea and much more suitable for kids.
Overall, it’s a great choice for families, thanks to its welcoming atmosphere, thoughtful kids’ menu, and excellent service. We’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing place to enjoy a meal with family.
We went in rather early without a booking and we were lucky enough to get the last table. We were 3 people but we sat at a 2 person table.
This place serves Alsace food which is influenced by both the French and German cuisine as Alsace was previously under the German rule.
We had the traditional Alsace food a spaetzle munster, which is cheese with egg noodles and a waedele au munster, which is the pork knuckle. The cheese in all of the dishes were so nice. The pork knuckle was nice, but the noodle was terrific. The other dish we had was the tarte flambée, which is basically pizza with a lot of cheese and it also taste great. It was such a memorable meal. We got one dry and one sweet wine that we ask the waiter to commend us. Both great. The price on this meal was also surprisingly cheap, considering the quality of the food.
Highly recommend. We recommended some friends who were going to Strasbourg to try this restaurant but it was full and they couldn’t get in.
This place is known for serving traditional Strasbourg food and they definitely served! The food was good to try once but I wouldn't say it's the best flavour (to me). We were a group of four, as soon as you arrive you see their massive terrace full of places were to seat but if you prefer inside, no worries, you will be welcome by their awesome oven!
The waiters and waitresses are nice and helpful with the choices.
We had for starters some balls of choucroute and a small tarte flambée chèvre. Good options to start to get the gastronomy of the region... for the main dishes we took as a vegetarian option the traditional pasta of the region called Spätzels with vegetables. It was good but at some point it was kind of repetitive, also it came with tomato sauce and a side salad. We also ordered the burger alsacien whose cheese is the munster so it's just a bomb of flavour and the king of the kings is obviously the waedelé au munster! We even had space for some ice cream and crème brûlée that was just fantastic!!
Overall we enjoyed the experience because we were in good company and with good food. The only problem we had were the waiters, at some point they stopped coming to our table and we had to called them several times to make orders or ask for water. It seems they have a problem of organisation that if improved would definitely increase the expectations of the place.
We came for dinner and there was already a wait. Good news is the wait wasn't long, especially if you're open to being seated inside.
Once seated, it did feel like a nice French atmosphere. Stoney walls, low ceilings, and music all added to the ambiance.
The restaurant offers a smaller menu, still plenty of options but not overlydone. to me, that's always a sign that food is prepared fresh.
Then starters came out pretty quick, a watermelon feta salad as well as some sauerkraut balls. I am not a fan of sauerkraut, but these things were delicious!
Our dinner was the flamekuchen and fish and chips (limited pescatarian options). Initially, they brought us the wrong dish out but let us keep it once they brought the right one out. it was definitely too much food for us.
however, everything was delicious!! very well made, more than plentiful serving sizes, ingredients felt fresh - food was delightful.
overall, definitely worth visiting. if you want to sit outside, I would suggest reservations in advance.
it should be noted that that vegetarian or pescatarian options are a bit limited.
It is absolutely a fantastic surprise to have such beautiful spot right in the heart of the city. It is quite a bit of a challenge to find proper and good tarte flambé in the city and it was truly delicious. The staff is amazing, fast kind, pleasant. There is a huge amount of people coming in leaving and they have this professional attitudes at all times. Special thanks to Anisa for her kindness, professionalism, liveliness and hospitality. Highly recommended.
