Hot open sandwiches (Brisket and Pastrami) were fantastic! The chips were good too, left unsalted so you can add your own from the table shaker which I prefer. The gravy added moisture to the meat but wasn't too salty and didn't over power it. We also got the coleslaw and potato salad which were great! Whatever mayo they use is delicious.
Service was also friendly and fast.
★★★★★ True NYC deli perfection — world-class pastrami and garlic fries!
We visited Pastrami Queen for a classic New York deli experience and were impressed from the moment we walked in. The staff gave us a warm welcome right at the door and got us seated within just a couple of minutes.
We ordered the World Famous Hot Pastrami Sandwich, the Salami Sandwich, and an order of Garlic Fries.
The hot pastrami lives up to every bit of its reputation—thickly layered, tender, beautifully spiced, and juicy without being overly greasy, served on classic rye with crunchy pickles. The salami sandwich was equally overstuffed and flavorful.
The garlic fries were a standout: piping hot, perfectly crispy, and generously seasoned with savory minced garlic and herbs.
Fast, friendly service, authentic vintage deli atmosphere, and outstanding food. A must-visit when on the Upper East Side!

Still can’t get a straight answer on whether they brine in-house, but ladies and gentlemen, this is a player in the game.
The pastrami is definitely cooked in-house. It packs a punch !!!!smoky, peppery, juicy, and stacked!
No-frills sandwich!! The Rye, mustard and pickle💥 That’s the whole assignment, and they execute it. Service is chill.
Katz’s and Langer’s still lead the league. When you just want a simple, honest pastrami sandwich without the circus, Pastrami Queen’s got you covered.
This was a legit little sandwich shop!! My wife said it is some of the best pastrami she's ever had. I had the roast beef sandwich, and it was really freaking good. They load up the sandwiches with a good amount of meat! The onion rings, latkes, and coleslaw were all very solid sides as well. It's a tiny shop, so you have to squeeze in there but it's all a part of the experience. Definitely recommend stopping by here if you're in the mood for a good sandwich!
We stopped here after visiting the Met. We were lucky to get seated quickly as there was a line after us. It is a small seating area, so the table are close to each other.
I ordered the roast beef sandwich and shared the garlic fries with my family. The garlic fries had a lot of garlic on it. It was seasoned well and mostly crispy. My son enjoyed it. As for the roast beef sandwich, the roast beef needed more seasoning and salt. The mustard did help overcome this. I also enjoyed the 3 different types of pickles.
It was an enjoyable lunch.
