Customer Perception
Customers generally praise Scotch 80 Prime for its excellent ambiance, attentive service, and high-quality food, particularly the steaks and seafood. Specific dishes like the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass and Zabuton steak are highlighted. The service, especially from staff members like MJ and James, is frequently commended for being polished, professional, and graceful. However, one review noted that while the food was good, it didn't always live up to the price point and location in a city with many excellent steakhouses, with the creamed corn being a surprising standout.

We decided to try Scotch 80 Steakhouse at the Palms Casino. The ambience, service and food are above par. I strongly recommend this restaurant for an outstanding dinner experience. My husband had the New Zealand King Salmon and I had the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass ( the best Miso Sea Bass I've had on a long time) and side order of Wagyu fried rice.
We started off with the Shrimp cocktail and the Iberico pork lumpia and finished with assortment of sorbet. James and Glenda our waiter and server provided excellent service. My compliments to Marty Lopez the chef who provides top quality tasting dishes. We will definately be back.
First time dining here, went for our Valentine’s Day dinner. Made reservations two weeks in advance and got seated within a few minutes of our time. Very nice ambiance, service was prompt and friendly, and food overall very delicious. My favorite was the Zabuton steak, super tender and it had a green sauce on top that complimented it very well. Sides were flavorful and mac & cheese was very cheesy. All appetizers we ordered were generous portions. They split the Caesar salad for us (which I like) and had a surprise chocolate box at the end, which was a nice touch. Been to many steakhouses in Las Vegas, and this one definitely stood out and is one we’ll go back to!

I had a great experience at Scotch 80. The atmosphere is upscale and stylish, perfect for an elevated night out. We had a bottle of red wine, which was excellent and really complemented the overall vibe of the evening. The drinks are thoughtfully curated, and everything feels very well put together. The food was also well-prepared and paired nicely with what we ordered. Service was attentive and knowledgeable, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Definitely a spot I would come back to for a relaxed yet refined night out.

Scotch 80 Prime sits right off the casino floor at the Palms, and that proximity probably tells you most of what you need to know. It's a fine steakhouse. Fine. In a city where "fine" is a generous way of saying "don't bother."
The bread arrived stale. Not day-old stale, more like "we forgot this was a thing" stale. Skip it. The oysters were fine but on the small side, and the bone marrow didn't do much to justify the menu real estate. These are the kinds of appetizers that exist to fill time between your cocktail and your entree, not to be remembered.
I went with the rib eye cap for my main and it was good. Not great. Good. Properly cooked, solid flavor, nothing to complain about and nothing to call anyone about. For what this place charges and where it's located, "good" is a little deflating.
Here's the weird part: the best thing I had all night was the creamed corn. It's got a little char and a little heat and it actually tastes like someone thought about it. If a side dish is the highlight of your steakhouse meal, that's information.
The cocktail program is legitimately solid, and I appreciate that they credit the bartender who came up with each drink. That's a nice touch and it shows.
Within the context of Las Vegas and the number of genuinely excellent steakhouses available at every price point, this place is a tough sell. If you've got hotel credit burning a hole in your pocket, sure, Scotch 80 will spend it adequately. Otherwise, you're a short Uber from options that will actually leave an impression.
Wouldn't prioritize coming back.

Love this place! The food, atmosphere and the service was all top tier. We usually sit in the lounge area because we are coming from the pool plus they have the TV. We sat at the bar this time because the NBA finals was on so some good entertainment. Our bartender was attentive answered all my questions and continued to check on us. The food has always satisfied my palate. We have bone in filet mignon with side of black garlic butter. Perfect flavoring, temp and the tenderness of the cut cant compare to others I've had in a long time. For sides we did garlic potato puree and the jalapeño cream corn(my hubby's fav). To top off the meal we added 1/2 of alaskan king crab. Dessert we had creme brulee and my hubby couldn't get enough. For drinks we had the palms old fashion and carajillo a go to for us. We will continue to come here and I think u should too.
