Additional Details
The cafe is situated in the Cobble Hill area of Brooklyn.
Very good lattes, staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast burritos were also tasty but they are small and overpriced. Didn’t try anything else but will be coming back.
Great vanilla latte and awesome, dim-lit, cozy room in the back with solid Wifi to bring a laptop and work! Seat available on a Sunday morning which is not a given. Definitely recommend for those like me who love working at a coffee shop. Definitely dark though so good for my laptop but not sure about a paper book.

I visited Stumptown coffee roasters and while the building itself is truly iconic, the experience inside sadly didn’t live up to the charm of its exterior. Once you learn about the building’s history, it feels almost heartbreaking to see such a legendary space turned into a very ordinary coffee shop.
The interior feels unfinished — minimal, but not in a thoughtful or intentional way. It lacks warmth, atmosphere, and any sense of character that the space truly deserves. Sitting there, I couldn’t help but imagine how much better it would serve as a boutique wine bar or a classy fine dining spot — something that honors the building’s story.
As for the coffee, I ordered a cappuccino, which arrived slightly cold and tasted just average — no better or worse than any other coffee shop in the city.
Would I return for coffee? Honestly, probably not. It’s one of those places that looks great from the outside — the kind you might snap a quick Instagram Story of on a rainy autumn day — but once inside, it just doesn’t offer much beyond that.

Good coffee. However, limited inside sitting and more limited due to office workers and students, who come with laptops. Their time at the space should’ve limited, because casual customers can’t find sitting.

Love this café — it’s super cozy and has a dark academia-type vibe. I love their coffee so much that I even buy their beans to make at home. Their seasonal flavors are great too, though sometimes the flavor is a little too light to really taste. The pastries are always fresh and delicious. I just wish they had more stock and a wider variety of options. Also love that they offer coffee flights for their seasonal drinks!
