Had a terrible dining experience here. We came in for an early dinner and ordered the Dirty Caesar and Cristo’s Seven Star pizza. We preferred no kale in the salad and kindly asked the server if he could accommodate that request. He proceeded to roll his eyes at us.
It wasn’t a huge deal, so we asked whether the salad was pre-mixed and whether separating the kale would inconvenience the kitchen staff. All he said was, “No, it takes more time for the chicken to cook.” He made no effort to explain his clear attitude problem.
The pizza came out before the salad, and it was really bad. The cheese and toppings slid off almost immediately when we lifted a slice. It seemed like the pizza wasn’t cooked evenly: the undercarriage was soft and doughy in some areas, while other parts were heavily charred. Obviously, we expected some char on the pizza, but some spots were completely burnt and inedible. We weren’t expecting a Dave Portnoy 10/10 — just edible pizza.
Then the salad came out. The croutons were stale, and the chicken was obviously not fresh. We promptly left and ate somewhere else.
Bad food is one thing, but the fact that the server didn’t have the maturity to simply explain that our request might be an issue was astounding.
Obviously, this place has great ratings, so our experience may not be typical. Maybe it was because we dined early on a Tuesday night. Still, it was absolutely unacceptable.
