Great idea, great location, decent movie selection.
Not a Five Star experience for a couple of reasons.
1) The website indicated "last few" seats available for our showing, when in fact, the entire rooftop was empty at show time, minus my group and about seven other people total. Creating false scarcity creates a bad experience.
2) Concession drink prices were extremely high for the size of the drink. I've never seen water bottles so small. However, to their credit, they did provide free water from a cooler.
3) Ticket prices. For a single "loveseat", the ticket cost came to $70 and change. This is fine for maybe couples, but given this is promoted as a family venue, the prices are out of line with what a typical family would be willing to pay.
Although not a negative, it would be nice to double up on the bean bag and other games. On crowded nights it gets a little difficult to join in the games.
Overall it's a good experience. Service is consistent over our several visits and the staff is exceptionally nice and stays out of the way.
So much fun. I highly recommend. Comfy chairs, not too crowded, and it's fun to be able to watch some of these movies on the big screen again. Also - beautiful views!
It's MY BIRTHDAY! 6/28
My daughter and son ( Ricky) took me to " Drag Me To the Movies" yesterday! I enjoyed the Drag Show tremendously the Ladies did an AMAZING JOB! The movie "Some Like It Hot" was the best revisit movie! We will be BACK! YASSS we WE'RE THE BIG TIPPERS! Please, bring money to Tip the Performers,❤️
Employees were amazing and I truly did have an amazing time.
1) I think for the price one is paying for the event, free blankets should be available especially when it is cold. I think some individuals didn’t prepare and it would be a great attraction feature.
2) I love the idea of lawn chairs because it adds the experience, but sofas would be a HUGE investment for the “love seat” option.
3) The employees deserve a huge heater or AC unit in their box units. They are what made my night and keep the event going. They have always had a positive attitude and made my night worth the money I spent for the movie! They deserve an investment into them. I would take appropriate measures to keep my employees happy, safe, and content as they provide a genuine experience for the Rooftop Cinema Club.
Disclaimer: the employees did not complain, however, as a consumer, I believe it is fair to treat the employees as good, if not better, than a consumer.
My friend and I came to watch Twilight. It was so nice to see it as it was getting dark. However, I wish the seats were comfortable or bigger enough for your feet to extend.
