I wanted to love the Cowboy Bacon burger at The Macintosh, but it ended up being a bit of a mixed bag. The Good: - The Sauce: Absolutely fantastic. It carried the flavor profile and was easily the highlight of the meal. - The Service: Incredibly fast. If you're looking for a quick bite without the long wait, their kitchen efficiency is on point. - My daughter loved the Kid’s Bacon Mac and Cheese which was super great in a bento tray The Not-So-Good: For a $22 premium burger, the attention to detail just wasn't there. It arrived with completely unmelted grated cheese and raw onions. At this price point, you expect the cheese to be perfectly melted and the ingredients to feel a bit more elevated. The Verdict: The speed and the sauce are great, but for $22, the lack of execution on the basic burger mechanics leaves a bit to be desired.

We would be regulars if we lived closer. Outstanding happy hour. The service is very good. The food is very good with only a few clunkers. We ordered boat load of wings 3.5/5, shrimp remoulade 5/5, short rib 'creole' poutine 5/5, crispy chicken biscuit 4/5, 'cowboy' bbq sliders 4/5, blackened shrimp risotto 5/5 and dark chocolate brownie 5/5. Nice atmosphere and location.

Stopped in for brunch and we had 2 cocktails, waffles/eggs/bacon and a steak cesar salad (half portion). The waffle and bacon were overcooked. All of the food was salty which was disappointing. Service was attentive and atmosphere was fun & welcoming. Pricing does seem a little steep here, especially for brunch. Parking can be a little frustrating. It’s a busy shopping plaza so you may have to use the additional rear parking.

Consider yourself lucky if you live or work near this place. Worth every penny. We chose their beef dip lunch special not on the menu. $25 and worth every penny. Tender/melt-in-your-mouth. None of that stringy, 10in-long gristle you get with 80% of dip sandwiches. Surprise!: The fries were why it was worth it. No description needed. If you aren't floored with how good they are then something's wrong with you. Not to mention, Zach and every employee from start to finish were perfection.

Had a burger and a bun at The Macintosh in Phoenix and overall it was a really enjoyable experience. The place has a great vibe, and you can tell they focus on quality ingredients and solid execution. The burger was juicy and well cooked, and everything tasted fresh. My only small note is that the BBQ sauce was a bit heavy for my personal taste and slightly overpowered some of the other flavors. That said, this is purely subjective and didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment of the meal. I appreciated the balance, presentation, and atmosphere, and I’d absolutely come back again. A great spot if you’re looking for comfort food done well with a modern touch.
