Best Times to Visit
The restaurant is frequently busy, suggesting it is a popular destination. It is likely best to visit during off-peak hours or make a reservation, especially for dinner.
A good sign of any seafood restaurant is to first look at the clientele. If you see a large proportion of Asian people that is an indicator you are at the right place. Very discerning folk. That said, this place did not disappoint. Excellent service and it had a great vibe. Started with octopus and then Fried Kibberling. Both tasty and a refreshing beer too, perfect. Recommend.
Visiting after Paris leaves the bar pretty high, but this wonderful little seafood restaurant (franchise? chain?) delivers. Daily specials (catch of the day, etc.) An simply high-quality foods satisfies on multiple levels. My fiancée and I thorougjly enjoyed our first day in Amsterdam, thanks to this gem. I started with the "Lobster Soup", which was as good as any lobster bisque I have enjoyed in Maine. I followed that with the Halibut special, which was simply heavenly and extremely tender (and served with a choice of sides..... I chose the garlic potatoes..... Yumm!). My fiancée had the Cesear Salad with hot smoked salmon, which was loaded with salmon and a few anchovies (optional) and parmesan (also optional), which she loved. We finished with dessert, having lemon creme brulee and cheesecake. Both exceptional. We hope to be back before we leave the country.

Had a wonderful dinner at The Seafood Bar.
Everything was incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The oysters were outstanding — fresh, delicate, and a perfect way to start the meal. I also highly recommend the scallops, which were cooked perfectly and served with a delicious sauce that complemented them beautifully. The garlic shrimp were another highlight: rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere was elegant, calm, and relaxing — the perfect setting for a leisurely evening meal.
What truly elevated the experience was the service. The staff were professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Their recommendations were excellent and made the meal even more enjoyable.
A top-class dining experience from start to finish. I would gladly return the next time I’m in Amsterdam. 🦪🦐🍷✨

First off, service is great and the food lives up to expectation. We had the mixed grill and oysters. While the mixed grill is excellent, the oysters disappointed a little; some of them were not fresh.
We ordered the oysters during the happy hour and it only cost EUR1.5 each. It was a good deal.
We were seated at the fresh seafood bar, and it was a wonderful experience seeing how hectic it can be.
The service team are just so attentive and polite.

Very fun dinner experience. We got the Combination which was a great way to try a variety of seafood and preparation. The items from the seafood bar were all simply prepared but came with several sauce options for you to mix and match. Everything was delicious. We got the grilled cauliflower as a side, it was very good and a great addition.
