The Surf Club Restaurant was one of the most impressive dining experiences we’ve had in a while. From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely elite—attentive, polished, and executed at a level that is rare to find. The entire evening felt special, and it’s easy to see why this restaurant has earned its Michelin star.
We visited as a party of six and ordered a wide variety of dishes to share, allowing us to experience much of the menu. Every single item was exceptional. The bacon appetizer was outstanding, and the beef Wellington was quite simply the best I’ve ever had. The true ribeye was also a standout and unlike any steak I’ve had before, making it difficult to choose a favorite between the two.
The atmosphere was elegant and lively, and it certainly didn’t hurt spotting a few celebrities throughout the evening. Between the phenomenal food, world-class service, and unforgettable atmosphere, this was an incredible experience from start to finish. We can’t wait to return.
I’m not quite sure how you don’t give this place 5 stars. We had an incredible meal, and the service was 6 stars. They were so friendly. All the servers said “nice to meet you” instead of “thank you for coming” which was very striking.
We got the table side Caesar and unfortunately I feel like I got an abnormally small portion after looking at social media. But the flavor was incredible. Followed that up with the salmon, and it was the most flavorful dish I’ve had in a while. The wife got the truffle Alfredo which I now want every day, forever.
After much deliberation we ended up going with the coconut chiffon cake with key lime crème anglaise for dessert. We asked about 4 employees if they would do that or the chocolate cake and ended up with the coconut even though most said chocolate cake. It was awesome, would get another for breakfast.
Ultimately it was an awesome experience for my first TK restaurant, and I’m super happy I went.

A once-in-a-lifetime dining experience at a true Michelin gem
The Surf Club Restaurant exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked through those stunning arched corridors, we knew this evening was going to be something special.
The food was absolutely flawless. We started with the Hand Cut Steak Tartare — beautifully presented in a crystal dish with delicate herbs and a quail egg — and the Hass Avocado & Vegetable Louie. The Lasagne arrived bubbling and golden in its own little pan, pure comfort elevated to an art form. The True Ribeye Steak ($125 and worth every penny) was the star of the night — perfectly seared, served simply on pristine china. And the Mousse au Chocolat to finish? Divine.
Our server Younes was exceptional — attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. The atmosphere transported us straight to 1950s glamour, without feeling stuffy for even a moment.
The highlight? The manager graciously invited us behind the scenes for a peek at the kitchen — an immaculate, buzzing operation that perfectly reflects Thomas Keller's legendary standards. Seeing that level of precision and passion firsthand made the meal mean even more.
If you're going to splurge anywhere in Miami, make it here. Absolutely unforgettable. 🌟
Dining at The Surf Club Restaurant was an unexpectedly memorable experience. Set within the Four Seasons in Surfside, this one-Michelin-star restaurant by Thomas Keller delivers a refined take on classic Continental cuisine in a beautifully preserved 1930s-inspired setting.
The ambience is elegant yet understated, with a timeless charm that reflects the heritage of the building. The space feels calm, polished, and quietly confident, allowing the food and service to take centre stage without unnecessary theatrics.
I went with the veal chop, which was prepared with precision and care. The meat was tender, flavourful, and perfectly cooked, showcasing the quality of the ingredients and the kitchen’s attention to detail. The accompanying elements were well balanced and complemented the dish without overpowering it.
Service throughout the meal was attentive and professional, with staff who were knowledgeable and able to guide without being intrusive. The pacing of the courses was well judged, making the entire experience feel relaxed and enjoyable.
The Surf Club Restaurant is a place where tradition and execution come together seamlessly. If you appreciate classic fine dining done exceptionally well, this is a restaurant worth visiting. A refined and memorable meal in Miami.
We have tried all of Thomas Keller's restaurants and ultimately everything turned out to be very good but never great. This is how I would describe the Surf Club.
The menu consists of well known dishes but there are no surprises - everything is cooked well and tasty but not memorable.
The best dish is the Ceasar's salad which is prepared table side, using raw eggs (!) and is a must-order simply for the show. Everything seemed to order it.
The crab cakes were very good - crispy crust and big chunks of crab with a spicy mayo on the side - worth it.
Lumache Alla Vodka was also good, with the pasta cooked just right and a nice spicy kick to the sauce.
The almonds on the European Sea Bass made the fish - toasted and slightly caramelized paired with a very good sea bass. Get it if you are in the mood.
The oysters Rockefeller are simply ok but not worth reordering.
The chocolate layer cake was also very good but not extraordinary and typically of any good pastry shop's version.
Finally the service is what you would expect of a Michelin Star, which was precise and well executed although our waiter has a pretty bland personality compared to the guy serving the table next to us.
