Customers consistently praise 50 Kalò for having some of the best pizza outside of Italy, often described as outstanding, full of flavor, and made with good quality ingredients. The dough is frequently highlighted as incredibly light and easy to digest, even for those who usually feel overfull. Service is generally warm, efficient, and friendly, with staff often making guests feel at home. While the location is fantastic, some note it can get crowded with tables placed quite close together. Prices are considered fair given the prime location and quality.
Additional Details
The original 50 Kalò in Naples is one of only six pizzerias included in Italy's Michelin Guide, underscoring the brand's high culinary standards. The London branch has been recognized as the best pizzeria in London for five consecutive years by Gambero Rosso, receiving their '3 slices' award.
Without a doubt, this is the best pizza in Central London. Knowing that the restaurant originates from Italy adds to the authenticity of the experience.
The location is fantastic, situated right in the heart of the city, and the pizza is consistently outstanding. Our favorites include the Buffalo Efiopa, the White Base, and the Diavolo—all of which never disappoint.
What truly makes this place special is the team. Everyone is always friendly, welcoming, and professional. We especially want to mention Giada, who consistently delivers exceptional service and makes every visit enjoyable.
It’s always a pleasure when the staff recognize us and make us feel at home. This is exactly the kind of place that keeps you coming back again and again.
Highly recommended!
As a pizza lover, I was excited to try this spot given its reputation. The pizzas are solid, though I wouldn't call them the absolute best in London—places like L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele or Florencio still edge it out for me. The lemon cake was quite nice.
The service was a bit slow and lacked warmth, and the atmosphere could use some refining (the restrooms, in particular, are definitely in need of a renovation). Prices are reasonable for London. It's a decent choice for a good slice, but if you're chasing top-tier pizza, there are stronger contenders in the city.

Possibly the best pizza outside of Italy - only one place in Rome has edged it for us, and we’ve been to a lot of highly rated pizzerias across Italy and Naples. The pizza itself is beyond reproach: the sauce is full of flavour and tastes genuinely fresh. Service was warm and efficient, the order came out fast, and the homemade desserts were a great finish. Exceptional.

A true taste of Naples right in Trafalgar Square!
The pizza here is excellent and incredibly light, even for someone like me who usually feels overfull. I expected a classic Neapolitan, but it’s actually more of a ‘ruota di carro’ style, larger and thinner, but not too much, which makes it very easy to digest. I even ate the mozzarella, which I normally never do!
The moment you walk in, the scent of pizza and Italy completely takes over. There is a beautiful, massive open oven, and the location in Trafalgar Square is fantastic, even if the interior is quite simple. The staff, all Italian girls, were very lovely and polite.
Our first choice in London has always been Vasinikò, and now it’s hard to compare them because they are so different; they might both be in first place!
Napoli on the Road has moved down to third; if I have to choose a Neapolitan pizzeria, I wouldn't pick them over these two. Also, I really liked that they offer the option of adding parmesan on the pizza. We will definitely be back!

I had read that 50 Kalò was recognised as one of the best pizzerias in the world, so my expectations were very high. The place didn't disappoint.
I ordered the Margherita con Bufala and the Cinque Sensi dessert for delivery, and both were exquisite. The Margherita was genuinely one of the best pizzas I have ever had. I am usually not even the biggest fan of dough, but here it completely won me over. The crust was soft, airy and elastic, with that beautiful puffed edge that feels almost weightless rather than bready. The toppings were just as good. The tomato sauce tasted vivid and fresh. The buffalo mozzarella was creamy, delicate and generous, melting into the sauce without disappearing into it. It was the kind of Margherita that reminds you why a simple pizza can be more impressive than one overloaded with ingredients.
The Cinque Sensi was also a beautiful finish: a chocolate mousse cake with a hazelnut centre, elegant, glossy and indulgent. The mousse was particularly impressive: very smooth and rich. My only small wish is that the portion had been bigger, because it disappeared far too quickly.
Overall, 50 Kalò absolutely deserves its reputation. Even the fact that the pizza arrived cold did not ruin the experience, which says a lot. I would happily order again from this place.
