Stopped into Cakes & Bubbles while exploring London because the name alone sold me.
We had champagne and coffee and both were delicious. The atmosphere feels elegant without being uncomfortable, and it’s a nice place to take a break if you’re in the area.
Prices are definitely higher, but that’s expected given the location and the fact that it’s inside a luxury hotel. It was also fun learning about the history of the building and its connection to Churchill.
Overall, a really nice stop and somewhere I’d visit again, especially next time for the cake.
A wonderful destination for desserts and coffee. The service was truly outstanding, and the creations served were both innovative and exceptional.
I was particularly impressed by their signature cheesecake, which was absolutely delicious. I also highly enjoyed the mango ice cream with lime and basil, a unique combination that was both refreshing and memorable.
This is a truly exceptional place and well worth a visit. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Really would not come again to this place and would not recommend to anyone! I changed my mind about Cafe Royal hotel/restaurants in general.
Got a present for Cakes & Bubbles for special occasion and decided to come with my boyfriend. I couldn’t imagine that it will be my worst experience.
First of all, there’s no wardrobe and you need to keep your jackets on the chair next to you like in the side cafe. Indian gentleman (he didn’t introduce himself) who was our waiter, couldn’t explain to us properly at the beginning how our voucher is working and how we can spend it as we didn’t know the amount of money. Only he opened menu on cakes that will be served and said that for whole time, we can have only one glass of bubbles (for two hours experience that we can spend in this place) on which we were surprised.
After I think more than 15 min we need to wait him again he came back and said that we have £150 and we could choose anything on that amount what we didn’t know.
He brought plates (which were dirty with fingerprints) and spoons (which he placed haphazard, see photos attached)), not 5* place and service at all.
When we checked menu, food and drinks were overpriced.
Was very nice from restaurant assistant manager Cherlyn that she recognized me as we spoke with her over emails and she apologized that there was confusion with timing of my reservation and gave us complimentary extra drink.
None of the waiters during our time didn’t recognized when we finished the food or drinks, we needed to wait more than 20min with empty plates and glasses just until someone checked if we need anything.
No one came and after we called them by ourselves, asked to call a assistant manager and explained everything (about dirty plate, how they served cutleries and time waiting) on what she just apologized and we just wanted to leave.
After assistant manager Cheryln needed to serve us by herself. Everything was good but after we needed to wait again for waiter to check if everything is okay with bill and we don’t need to pay anything extra and can go, but no one approached us and we just went and checked by ourselves with assistant
manager. Explained that it is not 5* service on what she again just apologized, even didn’t try to change our experience to the better way. After what we just went home.
Really they just ruined our celebration and evening at all.

Wonderful service from the staff in a cozy atmosphere. I had the brut champagne with the raspberry marshmallow like dessert and it was just the treat I needed. The champagne was nicely chilled and I wasn’t rushed to finish and get up and leave. I had the perfect view to look outside and enjoy my drinks and desserts.

Wow what een ride this was! Form the friendly staff to the delicious desserts, everything was really on point is this place and you could see the craftmanship that was used in the very creative desserts. I want to give a special shoutout to the cheesecake because that was really insane and the best cheesecake I ever ate in my life!🤩
