This was our first time at High Street and we will definitely be returning. My wife and I went for a date night. From the time we arrived everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We were early for our reservations so the hostess sat us at the bar while we waited for our table to be ready. We both had the Vermont amigio which was great and the bartenders were so friendly and helped us with recommendations for dinner.
When we were sat our waiter was also super helpful and friendly. We started with the Caesar salad which was large and very tasty. Then we got the black garlic knots which were insanely delicious. Lastly came the kennett square mushrooms which was incredible and by far my favorite dish of the night.
For our entrees I got the hanger steak which was plated beautifully and was very good. My wife got the pepperoni pizza which was extremely tasty!
We couldn’t pass up on dessert even though we were beyond full. We shared the butter cake which really ended our night with a great farewell taste.
I would 100% recommend High Street to anyone! From the ambiance, service and food all were 10/10. Thank you all for a great night!
Decided to grab dinner here as they are chase sapphire dining partner restaurant. The service is friendly yet professional. We wanted to do "leave it to us" option but were not ready for a full meal. The server guided us well and described dishes when asked so we were able to choose really awesome options. Although I feel like their dishes are all fairly impressive one way or another.
The highlight of the meal was the pizza - we had the pepperoni pizza and mind you, I was still thinking about that pizza the next day. It was so perfect. The pasta with mushrooms + egg yolk was also excellent. Must try item for those that love hearty flavors. The less favored items were due to my personal preference - didn't love the green peppercorn sauce with the steak (though the steak temp was on point) and the clam dish was rather too salty (though you can tell the clams were fresh!).
The less enjoyed part was the desserts. Strawberry shortcake dessert was weirdly salty and the hazelnut tiramisu could use a little less rum - that whiff of alcohol just kind of hits you on the nose, not in the most pleasant way.
All in all, this was a great dinner and I can't wait to come back to try other dishes (pizzas, mostly).

We stopped in for lunch and came away really impressed. I had the Happy Valley Burger, and it was outstanding. The fries were spot on—crispy, golden, and exactly what you hope for. The burger itself was elevated without being overcomplicated, and the tomato jam added just the right amount of bright acidity to cut through the richness and take the whole dish to another level.
My wife ordered the smoked turkey club, and it was just as fantastic. You can immediately tell they have a dedicated bakery—the bread is exceptional and really elevates the sandwiches.
The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere, with a welcoming, relaxed vibe and genuinely friendly staff. Between the quality of the food, the attention to detail, and the inviting ambiance, it’s the kind of place you look forward to coming back to. Highly recommended.

Food was incredible! We loved everything, especially the garlic knots and cavatelli pasta. The desserts were also amazing. Our server Gregory was great- super attentive and very knowledgeable! And also just very very kind. We will definitely be back!

Took my daughter to Philly for the weekend and stumbled into High Street on Market for brunch without a reservation -- walked right in, no drama. Already off to a good start.
The atmosphere is warm and unpretentious, service was genuinely great (attentive without being hovery), and then the food showed up and honestly just shut us both up for a few minutes.
I had the cipollini onion bialy with dill-cured salmon, fromage blanc, and all the fixins -- and I mean ALL the fixins. Soft-boiled egg, capers, pickled everything, microgreens, tomatoes. It looked like a still life painting and tasted even better. The bialy itself was perfectly chewy, the salmon silky, and the fromage blanc was a smarter, lighter move than the usual cream cheese. Plate was basically clean.
My 12-year-old went for the cast iron Dutch baby with roasted apples, malted caramel, and maple syrup. It arrived puffed up and golden, and she demolished it. No notes.
This place earns every bit of its reputation. If you're in Philly and skipping it, you're making a mistake.
