**⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of London’s Best Gay Nights**
Roast @ Electrowerkz in Angel is easily one of the best Gay events in London. The exceptional customer service sets the tone right from the start — the security team are genuinely friendly and welcoming. Just remember to bring your ID; it’s a strict policy, and there’s no entry without it, so don’t blame the venue if you forget!
The venue is spread across multiple floors. Upstairs you’ll find a well-organised cloakroom with plenty of space and a smooth digital ticketing system that makes dropping off and collecting your belongings quick and stress-free. There’s always lots of staff on hand, and everything runs efficiently.
Heading downstairs, the energy rises. There’s a huge darkroom that’s always busy and buzzing with a diverse crowd from skinny twinks to Musclemen and Bears. The main dancefloor delivers some of the best HOUSE music in London — no circuit music here, thankfully. The crowd is friendly, varied, and completely attitude-free.
As you explore further, you’ll find additional rooms with more bars and music, including a dedicated techno room for those who love harder sounds. One of the highlights is the spacious yard area, complete with a large bar where you can chill, have a drink, socialise, or take a breather between sets. There’s also a courtyard outside for smokers.
The overall vibe is fantastic: great music, great DJs, inclusive atmosphere, and a genuinely welcoming crowd. Roast runs twice a month, and it’s essential to buy your ticket in advance via the DICE app — no tickets are sold on the door.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a vibrant, friendly, and unforgettable night out.
I'm ancient (don't let this put you off, most people were 20's/30's) but this took me back to my 20's, good music in the house and pop rooms, techno isn't really my thing but even that was good earlier in the night. I had a lovely time although yes I'm clearly a little out of touch with how expensive nightclub entry is. Will be going again.
Incredible place and it is getting better and better. Highly inclusive, everyone is welcome. And the quality of life is amazing.
Never had to queue more than 30 minute's. The cloakroom is efficient, and you feel save. Rest room's are also very well managed.
Tickets are usually £20-25 and you'll probably spend another £20-40 on drinks.
Highly recommend 👌
First time there. My friends took me there. I had a great time. Huge place with several floors and halls. You must go there early it gets crowded fast..
On a positive note entry, security and coat check were all impressively efficient. The queue moved very quickly. The staff were mostly friendly and polite. We were a group of 8 from Manchester, we use to go to XXL a couple of times a year so were looking forward to the night. Unfortunately none of us enjoyed the music. There was pop on the lower floor, no idea what was on the middle floor and some pretty monotonous dirge on the top floor. It was far from uplifting and the place only came slighty alive when a familiar freemason type mix came on but then only too briefly. I am told the music did get slightly better later on but we had left by then.
