Customer Perception
Based on online discussions, there was significant anticipation and excitement among Calgary residents for Wingstop's arrival in the city. Specific customer reviews for this particular Calgary location are not available in the provided information.
Just stopped by and got lucky with a short line. Took 10 minutes to order and then another 25-30 to get my food which I thought was pretty good for a newly opened place. The staff, particularly the managers, were super friendly which made my visit better. The resturant seating was also pretty clean.
The reason my review is lower is because of the food. Note, I haven’t been to Wingstop before so I have no idea how it compares to other locations. But my fries came out cold with one that was still frozen and the parm seasoning wasn’t much to write home about. The wings were warm but not hot, and very under seasoned and a bit dry. I got the Hot Honey Rub and Louisiana rub which both were tasty but it definitely wasn’t enough to season the wings.
I’m hoping this was just an opening month issue and the flavour gets better as time passes as my friends who have visited locations in other places said good things.
I guess this place is still fresh but this service is atrocious.
Didn't mind waiting to try the hype but when we got in to take our order is where it started for me. We were going through our usual prompt and our asks us what flavors we wanted. I wish I was joking, she turns to her friend while we were ordering and talks to her as soon as I was about to say my flavors. Insanity.
We take our food to go and we get our bags and a worker CHECKS our reciept. We get home and we are missing our loaded fries! I mean 6 dollars alright but missing things in an order?
Food was fine, I think the boneless chicken are small but it is what it is. The flavors we got were unique enough and pack good flavor.
I would maybe go back but the hype is too great to go back that soon. I'd get better value at a bar than wingstop.
The line was not bad, but the service was. The music was loud so it was hard to hear the cashier and vice versa. My drink order was wrong, so I asked it to be replaced however, the crew ignored me. They were walking past me and the person who took my order saw me waiting and ignored me as well. After getting the order, my regular fries were too salty. There was huge amount of salt and it was hard to eat it. I ordered regular and lemon pepper fries. Lemon pepper fries were good. The tenders and wings were excellent. I understand the shop is still new so they are getting used to it. However, deliberately ignoring the person is not a good service.
We went on grand opening day, it was definitely a long wait but totally worth it. Staff and everyone there was super kind and understanding, we had a problem with drinks and they fixed it for us right away love the service. As well as the atmosphere I really like how they designed this place but also the DJ playing music for us was just top tier. I will never hate wingstop 😋
