This Saturday evening was nothing short of extraordinary.
Langosteria has only recently opened its doors in London, and it happened to be the perfect opportunity for my wife and me. We have already planned to celebrate the end of this year at Langosteria Montenapoleone in Milan, so dining here felt like a wonderful prelude—a chance to discover the soul, the culture, and the philosophy of Langosteria before experiencing its original home in Milan.
From the moment I entered, I was captivated by the restaurant’s interior. It is both timelessly elegant and magnificently grand. The dining room where I was seated was once the private office of Sir Winston Churchill, and I was delighted to learn that its original ceiling has been meticulously preserved, while the fireplace remains exactly where it stood during his time. Dining in such a historic setting added a remarkable sense of occasion to an already memorable evening.
What impressed me just as deeply was the dedication of every member of the team. Their commitment to genuine hospitality was unmistakable. There was an unmistakable enthusiasm in every smile, every gesture, and every attentive glance. Throughout the entire evening, I did not see a single guest needing to ask for a glass of water or wine to be refilled; every need was anticipated with effortless precision. Such refined attentiveness reflects an exceptionally high standard of professionalism—one that deserves the highest praise.
If one truly wishes to understand the capabilities of a great kitchen, there is only one honest way to do so: order the tasting menu. That is exactly what I did. In addition, I could not resist ordering what many consider the restaurant’s signature masterpiece—the Linguine with Blue Lobster. The verdict was exactly what I had hoped for: it was, without question, an extraordinary dish and unquestionably one of the finest plates of pasta I have ever enjoyed.
And now comes what I like to call the climax of the evening—perhaps I sound like a film director—but every memorable dining experience ultimately arrives at its final act: dessert.
The tasting menu already concluded with the delightful Gelato “Stracciatella.” Yet for me, there is one dessert that has always been the ultimate measure of an Italian restaurant: Tiramisù.
Without hesitation, I ordered one.
The result was simply unforgettable.
This was, without question, the finest Tiramisù I have ever tasted. Perfectly balanced, exquisitely delicate, and beautifully executed, it achieved a level of harmony that I have never encountered anywhere else. It was the perfect conclusion to an evening that I will remember for a very long time.
Allow me to finish with a few simple words.
You must come here.
You will be impressed.
You will not leave disappointed.
And you will fall in love with this place.
