Went for breakfast, absolutely worth the wait! It was everything I expected and more! The blueberry pancakes and the thick sliced orange & almond french toast were amazing and the freshly squeezed orange juice was perfect! The atmosphere is relaxing, such a cute place, and the staff keep everything running smoothly despite how busy it may be. The boardwalk is right around the corner as well as the Washington Street Mall. If you're ever in the area, it's an absolute must try!
After hearing so many people rave about pancakes at this restaurant we decided it was time to go for breakfast. We were surprised by the line that was down the street since we arrived 15 minutes before they opened, so make sure to get there early if you don't want to wait.
The atmosphere was hip and I appreciated personally that they feature rotating local artists' work on the walls.
I was able to get a tasty gluten free and vegan tofu scramble. I definitely recommend this dish. It was done well and had good flavor.
The rest of my party equally enjoyed other dishes, specifically the pancakes. They are the fluffy style if you like that particular pancake style.
Service was solid while we did wait a bit for the check.
All in all, it was a good experience and we will go back.

We have always gone to Mad Batter every time we visit Cape May for the last 20 years, food is always good, the benedicts are perfect, I ordered the Chesapeake Bay, my wife ordered the classic. Service is nice and quick so the wait time is not too long. They know people want you go out and enjoy the incredible beach and town 😃

Wow... I say 5 stars so yeah. The BLT was amazing it was perfectly done and packed with flavor. The fries came out hot and crispy, exactly how they should be, and the Caesar salad was delicuptious. Great food all around. Highly recommend stopping in if you're in Cape May!

We visit Cape May every December and eat here every year. Festive atmosphere, friendly staff and consistently delicious food. Fresh, large portions. The menu is varied, with vegetarian and vegan options. I've never had a bad dish.
