The Spicy Fried Chicken was excellent! Spicy, but not too spicy. All the flavors of the dish came through. I also enjoyed that the chicken was crispy. Great texture and flavor.
Something to be aware of, if you have dining preferences. You order your food at the counter, and seat yourself. You also grab dining accessories from a self-serve station (ex: sauces, silverware, utensils, napkins, water) ...pictured
Parking is tight. Small parking lot with some unavailable spaces. May have to park on the street.
Today, while visiting Bend my lovely wife and I took a delightful detour and had lunch at Spork. I enjoyed the spicy Korean style fired chicken with a mix of the cucumber salad and kimchi. The chicken was extra crunchy slathered in a honey gochuchang Korean style sauce. My wife enjoyed 3 tacos, one cheese taco and two carnitas tacos pictured here. The food was very good and I would recommend.
I'm not ever going to be a fan of counter-service style restaurants especially when the point of service iPad requests a tip even before you have gotten service or tasted the food. In my estimation this is not cool.
Additionally, it was a warm summer day and we ordered two iced teas. They were delicious and when we asked for more we were charged a dollar each for a refill. I recognize that restaurants are having a difficult time these days, but pour the customer another glass. It's not that a big of deal after spending nearly 50 bucks for lunch.
My partner and I love love LOVE going to Spork. Not only is the food delicious (drinks too!) but it’s awesome having a spot in town that offers real gluten free options, as my partner has celiacs. And the quality doesn’t suffer at all! I highly recommend the fried cheese as an appetizer, and you can’t go wrong with the fried chicken or Dan Dan noodles. Already can’t wait to come back!
Nice well run place with yummy tacos. They toast the tortillas, everything is fresh, and the tacos hit the spot. Especially in my shell after a day on the slopes. Service is well attentive (I was at the bar) but they still have areas for casual sit in. I would definitely come here again.
If you are looking for a healthier option full of flavor Spoke is one of the best. I had their gluten free fried chicken appetizer and small salad. It was filling and delicious. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. They have a variety of ethnic food . It is hard to choose a favorite.
