We were craving a Sunday Roast and The Golden Tooth was a hidden gem that we will be visiting again.
Fantastic service and well lit restaurant experience. We paid £28 for the beef and £26 for the pork which included all the trimmings. The Cauliflower cheese was £10 more, but delicious and worth it.
The star of the meal were the roast potatoes in rosemary and the caramelised carrots which were exquisite. The beef and pork were great cuts and the crackling was perfect! The horseradish creime fraiche sauce for the beef was perfect and showcased the meat fantastically.
If I had to be super critical. The sauces could have been served separately to not mix in the gravy on the plate. Or have the gravy in a separate jug on the table so we could pour ourselves and not have the Yorkshire pudding soaked on arrival. Also thicker gravy would have been ideal. I'm personally not a fan of gravy that a can't lather over my veggies. But I also get that's a personal preference.
I definitely want to visit again and try out the whole fish plates which sound amazing. If the Sunday Roast is anything to go by this place has a bright future ahead and will definitely be supporting them going forward.
We had a perfect dinner here. From the way we were greeted upon arrival, to the service provided by the lovely Samuel throughout, the dinning experience can rival an attentive and unpretentious Michelin restaurant. The food was simply phenomenal. We had the mussel toast, red prawn and chicken stargazy pie, and a salad. The quality and freshness of the ingredients shined through the dishes. The portion size was just right and not stingy and the presentation inviting without feeling pretentious. The dining room itself created an understated yet elegant energy, with edgy artwork adorning the walls.
It’s honestly incredibly refreshing to see a restaurant in London nowadays that is run by a team of people who genuinely care about food and hospitality and do it so well, instead of chasing a hype. We will certainly be back.
No words for the absolute iconic flavours the menu has to offer. We tried most of it; the pork chop which melted on the tongue, the stargazy pie with fish and chicken, the salad drenched in ranch and cheese, the oyster topped off with the most beautiful green mystery sauce. The green lanes gained an absolute pearl of a pub. 10 out of 10. 5 stars, and a round of applause to the chef, owners and front of house staff.
Came for a Sunday roast and the whole experience was 10/10!! Super friendly and knowledgeable service, delicious food and cocktails - best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had!
