Delicious food!! Everything tasted amazing. Aged tuna Tataki was one of the best I had with a nice kick to it. Cod was cooked to perfection - moist inside and crunchy outside. All the sides were delicious as well - cabbage salad was super refreshing, miso soup had a ton of flavour to it. Dessert, matcha green brulee, was outstanding with perfect amount of sweetness. Great service and super friendly stuff!! Definitely recommend.
Do yourself a favor and get the match creme brûlée! It was my favorite dish of the night. I wanted to lick the bowl clean. We came close to closing time so I wasn’t able to order another but I would definitely have gotten another if the kitchen was open! I only wish the dessert and main dishes came in bigger portions. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the cheese croquettes more than the gyu-katsu. The croquettes are pork with cheese in the middle and come with two types of the signature sauces. The sauces were so delicious! Again, only wish they gave bigger portions, I ran out of the sauces way too fast. Definitely will return to try more of their menu items!

This place brought us back to Japan for a bit. Katsu was great and the crème brûlée matcha took me by surprise. I usually don’t like crème brûlée or matcha but I loved the crème brûlée matcha here.
Our waiter was also attentive, kind and always checking in on us. I hope this place does well! Go support them!

Excellent katsu and a wide variety of sake. I had the chicken, but they also had tantelizing pork and beef options.
Do not skip the matcha creme brulee! That was probably my favorite bit of the whole meal 🧉

Oh man, this place was such a nice treat and Another great addition to Carlsbad village. They specialize in Katsu dishes and I am so looking to trying all of the the dishes on the menu. We hade the yellow tail crudo the spicy cucumber, the center cut pork loin Ton Katsu, the traditional Katsu and the Gyu Katsu. Each of these were Devine. It brought me back to it time in Tokyo and Kyoto very traditional tasting but with their own flare. The sake flight is a must try, ask for Kwan very knowledgeable and the buyer for the sake
