We celebrated my birthday at Verise Italian Restaurant and had such a great experience overall. The interior is beautiful, everything feels new, modern, and upscale. It honestly made us feel like we were out of town for the night.
Service was excellent. Our server, Daniel, was attentive, informative, and very personable. We also appreciated that they accommodated our request to move to a preferred table.
The food was delicious, the burrata was our favorite, the seafood was fresh, and the wine paired perfectly. The octopus was tender, though slightly salty for our taste.
One small suggestion: it would be nice to offer complimentary bread (or mention it upfront), especially for pasta dishes and calamarata.
We also noted it was a birthday when we booked, and while everything was great, a small touch like a candle or simple birthday dessert would have made it extra special.
Overall, a lovely upscale dining experience we might come back! ✨
Dining at Verise feels less like visiting a restaurant and more like stepping into a thoughtfully curated European dining escape. The space is remarkably distinctive, composed of several beautifully designed seating areas, each offering its own atmosphere and charm.
Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by a tranquil outdoor nook just beyond the host stand, where the gentle sound of waterfalls creates an immediate sense of calm. Inside, an elegant dining area sits beneath striking light fixtures that cast a warm glow across the room. One of the most inviting features is the long communal table beside the fireplace—an ideal setting for a leisurely meal in a cozy, intimate environment.
For those seeking a more playful ambiance, Verise also offers a mid-century retro diner-inspired corner, perfect for lingering over an iced latte and a burger. Toward the rear of the property, the experience opens up to an outdoor bar where a wood-fired oven flames to life, turning out freshly baked pizzas. From this vantage point, guests can enjoy thoughtfully crafted mocktails while overlooking the resort pool.
The culinary approach is equally considered. Ingredients are fresh, preparations are clean, and the attention to craft is evident—particularly in the house-made pasta flour, which adds a notable depth and texture to the dishes.
Verise succeeds in creating not only a memorable meal, but a complete sensory experience. It is a place worth returning to.
We started with the Pana Casereccio with prosciutto, the meatballs, and the calamari. The calamari was perfectly balanced with Calabrian chilis and sun-dried tomatoes, and the fried basil was a surprise standout. I'd never had fried basil before, but I'm officially a fan.
The focaccia had the perfect contrast of a crisp, golden exterior with a soft, pillowy center. The meatballs were delicious, but the real star was the sauce.. I could've eaten it by the spoonful.
For our entrées, the branzino was light, flaky, and perfectly complemented by the briny olives and capers. The steak was cooked exactly as ordered and paired beautifully with the arugula and Parmesan. Like any great Italian steak, it didn't need a sauce, and the onions need their own moment. So delicious.
We finished with the vanilla bean panna cotta topped with fresh strawberries. The lemon flavor made it light, refreshing, and the perfect summer dessert.
The cocktails were just as impressive. The Old Fashioned and Bee's Knees were both perfectly balanced and expertly made.
The atmosphere was beautiful, especially at sunset overlooking the pool, making the entire experience feel relaxed and upscale without being pretentious. The servers were attentive and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu.
We'll definitely be back. The pasta dishes coming out to the surrounding tables looked incredible, so next time we're ordering pasta. Highly recommend!
What a bummer this place was over priced and bad. Was hoping for a good Italian place with cocktails close to home but nope this is just an over priced hotel restaurant and bar. Service was bad and slow and the food was bland. As a starter we ordered the parmigiana balsamico. This was literally just chunks of parmigiana drizzled with balsamic vinegar. No bread or anything else. This was also dropped off to us with no silverware. It took us about 5 min to flag someone down to get some. Our first drink finally came 10 min after our appetizer was dropped (~20 min after ordering) at this time I asked for the wine I ordered. They then brought a Chianti when I ordered a Pinot Grigio. Finally got the right wine maybe 30 min after ordering it.
For the main course I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro with burrata. I could have made this at home much better. The sauce had no flavor and there was hardly any burrata. The pasta seemed store bought and was over cooked and barely warm. I had to ask for salt to even be able to eat it.
My friend ordered the bucatini and it was so over cooked he wasn't even able to twirl it. The pasta just broke apart. His dish was also cold.
I'm not sure if it's just a bunch of influencers reviewing this place or what but I absolutely can't recommend it. The service was non existent and the food wasn't well executed and was over priced.
